INITIATIVE “BLOOD FOR PEACE”

On July 18, the action “Blood for Peace” was held in Kiev blood center of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, on the initiative of the administration of the University. About 50 students and the staff of Bogomolets National Medical University came to donate blood for the wounded from ATO area and the needs of Ukrainian army. Rector Kateryna Amosova supported this initiative and since the very morning she came with the students to the Main hospital and donated blood among the first. According to the participants, this is the least they can do to help the country, which is not easy in such situations. A special thanks for participating in the organization of initiative is expressed to dean of the Medical Faculty #4, Omelchuk Sergiy and public association “STUDDOVIRA”. Each participant donated 425 ml. of blood that is in total nearly 20 liters. We believe that donated blood will save not one life. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who responded to our initiative! Glory to Ukraine!
