THE SECOND COURSE OF EUROPEAN EDUCATIONAL COMMITTEE “THE HEART AND THE VESSELS”
The 2nd course of European Educational Committee (СЕЕА, Committee for European Education in Anesthesiology) “The heart and the vessels” took place on 15-17, March, 2018 under support of O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University and Association of Anesthesiologists of Ukraine. The educational course lasted 3 days, and its program included the updated basic lectures by leading Ukrainian specialists and the great part of practical and interactive education – video demonstrations, master classes with phantoms and volunteers, simulation of clinical scenarios.
The participants could acquire and drill the skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, intraoperational hemodynamic monitoring, TransEsophageal Echocardiography, ultra sound (US) control for venous access and US-protocols for diagnostics of the heart in intensive therapy. 40 participants from different regions of Ukraine took part in course, among them the doctors of different specialties – anesthesiologists, doctors of emergencies, cardiologists.
CEEA Committee unites over 100 countries-participants and suggests the education for anesthesiologists under standard program. The whole educational cycle consists of 6 courses and covers all spheres of anesthesiology, intensive care, emergency medicine and medicine of pain. In autumn, 2018 it is planned to perform the 3rd course of CEEA, devoted to emergency medicine and intensive care.
