INTERACTIVE LECTURES FOR STUDENTS OF ENGLISH SPEAKING FORM OF STUDY (ESFS) AT DEPARTMENT OF HISTOLOGY AND EMBRYOLOGY
The lectures in updated format – 45 minutes – are held since this semester for students of the 1st course in medical and dental faculties at department of histology and embryology. Even for such short period of time, this format or lectures showed good results. Such lectures for students are efficient for perception of material and enable better learning the new information. The part of lecture, which is devoted to consideration of test tasks from materials of exam “Step-1”, is important. The lecturer can assess the knowledge of students in interactive mode using the special questioning apparatuses.
The dean of medical faculty No 3, professor Oksana Vyhovska was present on 15, March, 2018 at lecture of professor at department of histology and embryology Nataliia Melnyk for students of English speaking form of study (topic – “Connective tissues”). The survey of this students stream in medical faculty of ESFS, held on 8, February, 2018, showed the high level of satisfaction with lectures by professor Melnyk N.O., most students assessed the lecture as 6 and 7 scores. The clinical cases at lectures and their interpretation in terms of histology and embryology are interesting for students. The update of mode for performance of lecture is the important step to modern teaching of theoretical material in medical education.
