LECTURE BY A LEADING ISRAELI EXPERT IN THE FIELD OF PUBLIC HEALTH

January 19, 2017 for employees of NMU – specialists in the field of health information management – the Israeli expert in the field of public health Dr. Gabriel Barbash gave a lecture. The theme of the lecture was “Management of Medical Institutions”.

Dr. Barbash is a master at Harvard University in the field of Public Health. About twenty years he has chaired the Tel-Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, one of the three largest medical centers of the State of Israel. Before that he spent three years as Director General of the Ministry of health of the State of Israel and for two years he headed the National Israeli Center for Transplantation.

In his lecture, Mr. Barbash shared his personal experiences of managing the clinic, criteria of effective recruitment, principles of talent management.

Lecturer, having familiarized students with the features of the health care system of the State of Israel, revealed his understanding of the “talent management” notion, and gave his optimal selection criteria of good doctors, described the best candidates for the heads of departments and heads of hospital units.
