MASTER CLASS IN DILATION TRACHEOTOMY

On 14, March, 2018 the department of otorhinolaryngology at O.O. Bogomolets NMU within X International scientific practical conference of students and young scientists “Special issues in diagnostics and treatment of diseases of ENT-organs, craniofacial section and visual organ – 2018” performed the master class in dilation tracheotomy, which was held on base of Oleksandrivska Clinical Hospital. This event was visited by 18 participants in the conference.

The master class consisted of 2 parts. During the theoretical part the assistant professor at department of otorhinolaryngology Viacheslav Didkovskyi read the lecture about indications and contraindications to this procedure, as well as got acquainted the participants in the conference with different variants of kits for performance of this manipulation and peculiarities between them. During the second practical part of master class the assistant at department of otorhinolaryngology Maksym Tarasenko demonstrated the performance of dilation tracheotomy on animal organ-complex, after that the participants could drill this practical skill on their own.
