TRAINING SEMINAR “MODERN LECTURE”

The regular training seminar for teachers “Modern lecture” was held on 4, January, 2018 at O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University.

The teachers from dental departments and clinical departments of therapeutic specialization took part in training for improvement of mastership in establishment of lectures. The seminar was held with participation of rector from NMU, corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine, professor Kateryna Amosova. The presentation of four training lectures “Who are the “millenials and how to teach them with medicine better” (K. Amosova), “Planning and preparation for lecture” (Ye. Andreiev), “Lecture as a form of study: traditional or interactive? How to arrange the feedback with audience” (Yu. Kuchyn); “Effective presentation. How? Why? For what?” (S. Tarasenko) took place within the training, as well as the practical classes in small groups, where the participants considered the micro lectures and slides, created by them, and discussed what it was possible to do to improve them.

As the director in Institute of Postgraduate Education, professor Yurii Kuchyn told, during course of study “Modern lecture” already about 200 teachers passed through training, the same amount of teachers will pass through training until the end of spring semester. The organizers plan to finish the study of teachers from most departments of university and to give the recommendations how correctly and efficiently to build their lecture so that it would be efficient for students. The training for teachers on preparation of OSCE stations will start since the new academic year. The lecturers every time change and enlarge their lectures as they take into consideration the feedback with the audience, which arrangement the participants in training study. At present moment the University administration sets the priority to modernize the educational process that will improve its efficiency and attraction, as well as establishment of unique educational experience by teachers.
