DOCTOR FROM DENTAL MEDICAL CENTER NMU TOOK PART IN THE INTERNATIONAL COURSES OF DENTAL IMPLANTATION

In the framework of the international activity of the University, with the support of the Department for International Cooperation, well-known foreign scholars and lecturers visit Dental Medical Center, speakers hold lectures and get acquainted with the work of the University Dental Clinic.

On May 24, 2017, the Dental Medical Center of Bogomolets NMU was visited by the doctor of medical sciences, Member of the Commission for international cultural exchange at the Italian Association of surgical doctors and dentists in Rome, the Commissioner for international cooperation, and Advisor to the Italian dental organization World Dental Agora, Professor Gabriele Edoardo Pecora (Italy). In the flow of discussions with Vice-Rector for International Relations, Research and Education, Professor Olesia Lynovytska, Dean of Dental Faculty, Professor Nataliia Bidenko, Director of Dental Medical Center, Professor Andrii Kopchak an agreement on free of charge training for doctors from Dental Medical Center of NMU on courses conducted by Italian dental organization World Dental Agora has been reached.

For implementation of these arrangements, on the invitation from Professor Pecora, doctor from department for Surgical Dentistry of Dental Medical Center of NMU, Oleksandr Shpachynskii took part in a course on dental implantation in complicated clinical cases, sinus-lifting and bone augmentation techniques, which was held in Bucharest on July 27-29 in one of the leading dental clinics PROdentis. Training included also an acquaintance with the cultural heritage of Bucharest. After completing the course, the clinic PROdentis, on behalf of Director Antonio Barbatto and Professor Gabriele Edorado Pecora, provided participants with the certificates.

In the future, it is planned to prolong the cooperation in this direction and to increase number of employees of Dental Medical Center who will be trained in EU countries. The Department for International Cooperation and the administration of Dental Medical Center, in addition conduct negotiations with Prof. E. Pecora about the organization of a similar courses in Kyiv at Dental Medical Center.
