SWIMMERS OF NMU ARE AGAIN THE MASTER OF CHALLENGE CUP
On 24, March, 2018 the combined teams of students and teachers at O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University tool part in swimming competitions “Mister Butterfly” under program of the 6th Kyiv City Spartakiad “Health Kyivan”. The competition was held at sport complex “Nauka-Sport”. Both teams from O.O. Bogomolets NMU showed the brilliant results and acquired the first places in total team performance in categories Public health 18-35, Public health 45+ and 55+.
The head at department of physical rehabilitation and sports medicine, professor Olena Dorofeieva and assistant professor at department of physical education and health Anzhela Diachenko won the golden and silver medals in distance of 15 and 50 m by freestyle among women in age category of 45+. The assistant professor at department of physical rehabilitation and sports medicine Kseniia Yarymbash won the victory in age category of 35+ among women in distances of 25 and 50 m by freestyle. Professor at department of physical education and health Yurii Shcherbyna won the bronze medal among men in age category of 55+ in distance of 50 m by freestyle.
In category Public health 18-35 the students of combined team from NMU in swimming won the main prize of competition – Challenge Cup. The student of the 3rd course in dental faculty Yelena Ohol won the second and the third place in distances of 25 and 50 m by freestyle among women in this age category. The students of the 2nd and 5th courses in medical faculty No 1 Serhii Demchuk and Stanyslav Kolesnykov won the silver and bronze medal among men in distances of 50 m by freestyle and 100 m by complex swimming. The combined team of students from NMU, consisting of Ohol Ye., Chuvasheva K., Demchuk S. and Kolesnykov S. won the victory in relay race swimming 4×25 m by freestyle. The team of teachers in relay race swimming won the first place in age category 35+. Our sincere congratulations to participants and winners of competitions!
