THE PARTICIPANTS IN CONFERENCE “EVIDENCE ASPECTS OF MODERN OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY” SPOKE ABOUT WOMEN’S HEALTH

The scientific practical conference “Evidence aspects of modern obstetrics and gynecology” took place on 16, March, 2018 in the premise of the club of Chief Military Clinical Hospital. The event was organized by O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University (department of obstetrics and gynecology No 1) together with Association of Obstetricians – Gynecologists of Ukraine. The reports by leading national specialists in the sphere of obstetrics and gynecology that emphasize the peculiarities for use of principles of evidence-based medicine were presented. The foreign speakers suggested their experience in implementation of evidence aspects, especially management of pregnancy and child birth, laparoscopic surgery, surgery of pelvic floor.

The conference was opened by head at department of obstetrics and gynecology No 1, professor Ventskivskyi B.M. The participants in the conference were welcomed by director in Health Care Department at Kyiv City State Administration Valentyna Hinzburh, pro-rector of O.O. Bogomolets NMU in scientific pedagogical, treatment activity and postgraduate education Oleksandr Naumenko, executive director in Association of Obstetricians-Gynecologist of Ukraine Viachelav Kaminskyi.

The fetus loss syndrome was and is the urgent problem at all levels. In obstetrics it is the reason for perinatal mortality in neonatology – severe disorders of health. The influence of pregnancy loss on psychological state of the family will never be studied completely. Finally, each unborn life is the loss of potential for society – economical, scientific and creative. The unity of all forms for loss of pregnancy into one nosologic form changed and extended the views on their pathogenesis. Yelena Zubovskaia (Minsk, Belarus), Tamara Romanenko (Kyiv), All Boichuk (Ternopil), Oksana Makarchuk (Ivano-Frankivsk) and Iryna Ventskivska (Kyiv) spoke about prevention and treatment for loss of pregnancy in terms of evidence-based medicine.

The laparoscopy extended the horizons of possibilities for surgical treatment. The leading specialists in this sphere made the speeches within scientific practical conference. Professor Islam Mahalov (Baku, Azerbaijan) in report “The Possibilities and restrictions in laparoscopy surgery in benign gynecology” shared his own experience in improvement of treatment for endometriosis and infertility. The report by professor Rozhkovska N.M. (Odessa, Ukraine, was devoted to the problem of endometriosis, namely to peculiarities for post-operative management. Professor Hladchuk I.Z. (Odessa, Ukraine) told about possibilities for laparoscopy in staging procedure for early stage of endometrium and vesical cervix cancer. Zhehulovych V.H. (Kyiv, Ukraine) emphasized the new possibilities for preservation of ovarian reserve at operations on the ovaries.

Professor O.V. Holianovskyi (Kyiv) and professor V.O. Potapova (Dnipro) in report “Complex prevention of hemorrhagic and infectious complications of Caesarian operation” told everything about Caesarian operation. The word combination “Caesarian operation” was for the first time used in works by Jacques Gillmo in 1598, although the first mentioning about such successful operation was dated as 1500. No surgical operation can compete with Caesarian operation due to the number of myths and legends, both historical and modern ones. The master class “Medical tactics at bleeding, stipulated by obstetric trauma” was held within the conference. The participants in master class received the modern knowledge about reasons for origin, diagnostics, tactics for management of obstetric haematomas, consolidated the knowledge through receipt of practical skills.
