PUBLICATION BY EMPLOYEE OF NMU IN EDITION “INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF ENDOCRINOLOGY”

Doctor of Medicine, head at department of endocrinology at O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University professor Yuliia Komisarenko together with employees from O.O. Palladin Institute of Biochemistry at NAS of Ukraine published the results from joint research in international occupational scientific edition “International Journal of Endocrinology”. The journal is indexed in Scopus, has the high citation indices and impact-factor 2.510 due to Clarivate analytics among world professional editions in endocrinology. The topic of research “Effects of Cholecalciferol on Key Components of Vitamin D-Endo/Para/Autocrine System in Experimental Type 1 Diabetes”.

The goal of research was to define the role of vitamin D in regulation of 25OHD-1α- hydroxylase (CYP27B1) in different tissues of organism. The effect from insufficiency of vitamin D on development, compensation and efficiency in treatment of type 1 diabetes was studied; the positive effect of vitamin D on mineral, lipid and carbohydrate metabolisms was demonstrated.
