RECTOR KATERYNA AMOSOVA VISITED THE EXAM DURING ENTRANCE CAMPAIGN
The entrance written complex occupational test in physiology, human anatomy, histology and medical chemistry for entrants, who have the medical education, graduated from medical secondary schools or colleges due to specialty “medical care” and “nursing care” took place on 22, July, 2016 at O.O. Bohomolets National medical university.
Such entrants are entitled to enter the 2nd course in medical faculty due to specialty “medical care”. They take part in the contest for enrollment to the places beyond the plan of state order, 70 such places are allocated this year. As of today there are 279 such applications from entrants, and the contest is 4 persons per 1 place. Let’s remind that last year there were 250 applications per 60 places, and the contest was 3.4.
Rector of University, professor Kateryna Amosova dropped in to check the progress of entrance campaign. Kateryna Mykolayivna welcomed the entrants at Alma Mater, which this year celebrates its 175th anniversary, “We are glad that our students were, are and will be the most talented, worthy and will come from the medical university as good doctors, whom the society of our country has been waiting for. In 1971 namely in this lecture hall (named after Buyko) I, being an entrant, wrote the composition in Ukrainian language and I was lucky. I passed through all four exams with excellent marks. I sincerely wish you were lucky and became the students of NMU”, – told professor Kateryna Amosova.
The exam was taken in 3 lecture halls per 80 entrants (lecture hall 1, 2-a) and 60 (lecture hall 3). It lasted for 2 hours. The corresponding special examination commission was established that consisted of professors from field-specific departments of university. The exam was held in strict conformity to Provisions about Admission commission and performance of written occupational tests.
According to the words by chairman in Admission commission, professor Oleksander Naumenko, the entrants receive the works, which then are coded and closed in the safe. “This is the prescribed procedure. The examination commission accepts only the works with codes, after check the entrants receive the marks. According to Provision about Admission commission, neither parents, nor unauthorized persons are allowed to the lecture hall, where the exam takes place. Only the members in occupational examination commission have the right to stay in lecture hall, as well as observers – members in Students’ parliament of university”, – mentioned Oleksander Naumenko.
The tests are composed so that each subject, which is brought to the written occupational test, has 12 questions, and 4 answers for each – an entrant shall choose one correct answer.
“The procedure for distribution of tests according to variants and numbers was held transparently and according to Provision about Admission commission. The students took the counters with the number of variant. There were 6 such variants. An entrant chose the number of test on his/her own. Each envelope had 1 variant, which consisted of 4 disciplines, and each envelope was packed, sealed and kept in the safe until start of the exam. The lecture hall was also mentioned on each envelope. All entrants were divided into groups per 30 persons in each”, – told the responsible secretary in Admission commission of NMU Yuriy Maruschenko.
The results from entrance occupational tests according to Provision about Admission commission will be announced on 23, July, 2016 on stands of admission commission and website of university. And rating lists and recommended ones for enrollment according to Rules for admission and conditions for admission from Ministry of education and science of Ukraine will be promulgated on 6, August; the enrollment to budget form of study will last until this day.
