COOPERATION OF STOMATOLOGICAL MEDICAL CENTER OF NMU WITH SCIENTIFIC AND RESEARCH CENTRE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF PECS (HUNGARY)

On June 29 – 30, 2017, staff of Stomatological Medical Center and Department of Dentistry of Institute of Postgraduate Education of NMU visited the János Szentágothai Research Centre at the University of Pecs (Hungary). The visit took place within the framework of the agreement defined by an international treaty on cooperation between the NMU and the University of Pecs in the scientific domain. At the moment, both universities carry out a joint scientific project on reparative regeneration of bone tissue of jaws. In order to perform studies, an international working group was established, which is led by Scientific Director of the Research Center (University of Pecs) Professor Zsuzsanna Helyes and Director of Stomatological Medical Center (NMU) Professor Andrii Kopchak. The delegation of NMU included: Associate Professor of the Department of Dentistry of Institute of Postgraduate Education of NMU Yu.V. Chepurnyi, clinical interns D.M. Chernogorskyi and T.V. Kustro.

In the framework of the visit, a meeting with representatives of the Department of international relations and technology transfer, the administration of János Szentágothai Research Centre and heads of laboratories was held. Priority directions in accordance with the strategy of the development of the University are: Molecular Pharmacology, Gene Polymorphism Study, Neurobiology, Biotechnology.

Simultaneously with the scientific programme of the visit to Hungary, staff of NMU got acquainted with production facilities of one of the leading companies which produce dental implants – SGS DentalSystem (Budapest), overviewed all the stages of production of dental implants according to standards of ISO (International Organization for Standardization), FDA (Department of sanitation oversight of the food and medication in United States) and CE (Certification body of the European Union).
