STUDENTS INTERNSHIP IN GERMAN MEDICAL AND RESEARCH INSTITUIONS

Bogomolets National Medical University broadens the horizons of cooperation with leading universities and clinics around the world. With the assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine in Germany, and also due to the meeting of the representative of the Department for International Cooperation of NMU with Ms. Dominique Lacroix, who is responsible for organizing training (internships) for foreign students at the Charité (Berlin, Germany) in April 2017, students of NMU were invited to take part in an internship in educational and scientific institutions of Germany in July 2017. Another area of work with institutions of Germany was the cooperation with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) (Coordinator – senior laboratory assistant from the Department of Pediatrics No. 4 – Vodianyk A.).

In the framework of internship, students of the Medical Faculty No. 3 of NMU – Hrechukha Ye., Tkachuk O., Kovaliukha I., Lysyi A. and senior laboratory assistant of the Department of Pediatrics No. 4 Vodianyk A. have had meetings with the administration of the Charite Clinic and the Max Delbruck Center, heads of research laboratories in the Max Delbruck Center, Leibniz Institute. They got acquainted with the structure of research institutes of Germany, approaches to the educational process in the German medical colleges and prospective directions of scientific researches which are carried out in the higher educational institutions.

Representatives of the Charite Clinic, Max Delbruck Center of molecular medicine, Leibniz Institute have expressed their willingness for further cooperation with Bogomolets National Medical University, including summer schools, educational lectures, promotion of the scientific journal of the Association of young scientists of NMU.
