STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY PARTICIPATED IN THE FIRST MEDICAL VOLUNTARY STUDIES

Volunteers of All-Ukrainian Youth Association of medical students participated in first medical voluntary studies, which took place on October 1 in Obukhiv. Studies were conducted with the support of the Presidential Administration, Kyiv regional state administration, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Health. Among the volunteers were members UMSA: medical students of Bogomolets National Medical University, Kharkiv and Vinnytsa medical universities. The purpose of the studies was to establish interaction between the volunteers and government agencies in case of emergencies. Doctors, police and volunteers rescued victims of conventional “terrorist act” that occurred at the bus station in Obukhiv, Kyiv region. According to the adviser of President Olga Bogomolets studies will be held all over Ukraine.
The project “Medical volunteer” of All-Ukrainian Youth Association of medical students, students from all higher medical educational institutions will form medical volunteer coordination center that will actively cooperate with government agencies and authorities. All students, interns who wish to gain new knowledge and skills to organize joint help to people that will preserve life and health, can fill in a questionnaire and join the ranks of medical volunteers.
