PARTICIPATION OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN THE 2ND TOURNAMENT OF ALL-UKRAINIAN STUDENTS’ OLYMPIAD IN SPECIALTY “PATHOMORPHOLOGY”

The 2^nd stage in all-Ukrainian students’ Olympiad in occupation-oriented discipline “Pathomorphology” was held since 28 until 30, March at Horbachevskyi Ternopil State Medical University. The second stage of Olympiad was held in 5 tournaments: I – assessment of theoretical knowledge pursuant to computer testing and assessment; II – possession of practical skills for diagnostics of microscopic manifestations of pathological processes and diseases; III – contest “Clinical pathologicoanatomic parallels” – assessment of ability to perform the clinical morphological analysis pursuant to cause-and-effect relations (analysis of dissection protocols); IV – contest “Erudite”: knowledge about contribution of famous anatomic pathologist into development of pathologicoanatomic science; V – possession of practical skills for diagnostic of macroscopic manifestations of pathologicoanatomic processes and diseases. O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University was represented by winners in the 1^st stage – student of the 3^rd course in medical faculty No 4 Lisova Viktoriia, student of the 4^th course in medical faculty No 3 Zarutska Veronika (department of pathological anatomy No 2, head at department, professor Hychka S.H.), student of the 6^th course in medical faculty No 2 Slisarenko Maryna, student of the 4^th course in medical faculty No 1 Bernyk Oksana and student of the 4^th course in medical faculty No 2 Plodiienko Mykola (department of pathological anatomy No 1), head at department, professor Zakhartseva L.M.).

The head at department of pathological anatomy No 2 at O.O. Bogomolets NMU, professor Hychka S.H. took part in work of jury for the 2^nd stage in all-Ukrainian students’ Olympiad/ The result from joint work of teachers and students was two prize places of our students, namely the 2^nd place – Slisarenko Maryna, 6^th course, medical faculty No 2, department of pathological anatomy No 1, and the 3^rd place – Lisova Viktoriia, 3^rd course, medical faculty No 3, department of pathological anatomy No 2. The 1^st place was taken by student of Ternopil State Medical University. Our congratulations to the winners, participants and we wish further successes, victories and interest in deepening of knowledge in medical discipline.
