UNIVERSITY CAMP “MEDIK” (MEDICAL WORKER) LAUNCHED ITS WORK

The best time of year summer has come. And the logical question is arisen: where to go for a rest? Someone chooses overseas resorts of India and Thailand, some closer lands of Bulgaria and Turkey, while others prefer the native resorts of Kherson and Odessa.

The students and staff of the University have a unique opportunity to rest not far from Kyiv in the camp named “MEDIK” (MEDICAL WORKER) in Obukhov district. When you arrive there, you realize why the land in this area is so valuable. Because besides beautiful pine forests going  into the streets of the village, in addition to the wide and clean river Kozynka which waters while swimming you don’t want to leave, there is something that can not be described in words, a unique atmosphere, a special power … Everyone can find something for himself: children can participate in fun contests and competitions, adult have a rest on the beach and opportunity to forget about the daily household routines. Students sing songs by the guitar, enjoy the warm evenings, socializing with friends and just life. And every day is special there. The celebration of Neptune Day the mermaids and little deuces delight everybody on the beach and everyone is pouring the water on themselves, dancing and singing. On Ivan Kupalo Day (Midsummer Holiday) the ancient traditions are revived: burning a straw effigy, and along with it all the evil that this year brought; dances, wreaths on the water, jumping through the fire, like the present and the past is connected into one. The “Medik” camp imperceptibly erases the boundaries between days. And it seems to be beginning of thirsting race only since yesterday, but the time to go home comes very soon. Again, to their our worries, restless news on television, to the time when the days does not pass, but drag. And it seems that only warm memories of summer vacations will warm up throughout the next year, till the next arrival.

But those who have not seized the opportunity to relax in the “Medik” camp, do not be sad and regret about the lost time. Because the camp runs for two rounds and the second arrival period begins since July, 25. So take your time to purchase the tour (and it can be taken from the trade union of students) and spend the last month of summer perfectly!
