CONSTITUENT MEETING OF PO «ASIPU» – UKRAINIAN ASSOCIATION STUDENTS & INTERNS PEDIATRICIANS ON BASE OF NMU

The constituent meeting of PO “ASIPU” took place on 28, March, 2018. The pediatric students in medical faculty No 3 at O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University initiated the establishment in organization for unity of pediatric students and doctors-interns in occupation “Pediatrics” from the whole country. The purpose of organization is to unite the pediatric community for development of science, improvement in level of quality in rendering the medical aid to children, improvement in level of knowledge at students and interns through performance of schools, master classes, lectures, seminars in pediatrics, exchange in experience between universities and public organizations, involvement of volunteers and participation in charitable actions, defense of own rights and interests.

Fifty two pediatric students, as well as the dean of medical faculty No 3 professor Vyhovska O.V., president of PO “Ukrainian league of reforms” (“ULR”) Muzychko D., representatives from Students’ Parliament of O.O. Bogomolets NMU took part in constituent meeting. The participants discussed the establishment of public organization, name, address of public organization, appointment of chairman and deputy chairman, cooperation with PO “ULR”, further action and plans. They decided to establish the public organization (Association of Students and Interns Pediatricians of Ukraine” (short name “ASIPU”) at the address: c. Kyiv Peremohy Avenue, 34, they unilaterally elected to the post of Chairman in PO – Barskyi Mykhailo Vitaliiovych, student of the 4^th course in medical faculty No 3, to the post of deputy chairman of PO – Kazakov Dariia Serhiivna, student of the 4^th course in medical faculty No 3. Dean of medical faculty No 3 professor Oksana Vyhovska supported the students’ initiative, accentuated the attention to academic mobility of pediatric students, cooperation with medical higher schools of Ukraine, shared with the nearest plans: master classes in ECG, ultra sound diagnostics of abdominal organs, kidneys, which it is planned to perform in April-May, 2018 on base of scientific research institutes, school of pediatrics in June-July, 2018 on base of departments of pediatrics, pediatric infectious diseases, pediatric surgery at O.O. Bogomolets NMU, listened to the students initiatives as to development of faculty.

The President in PO “ULR” Dmytro Muzychko expressed the interest and support to young pediatricians, suggested some ideas for involvement of organization into public projects. At the end of the meeting they performed the interactive communication with participants in the meeting, during which all desired persons expressed their ideas as to perspectives for development of PO “ASIPU”.

Now PO “ASIPU” is passed through registration procedures and will soon function. Ukrainian medical higher schools were informed about establishment of association and expressed the support, having previously agreed about cooperation. Recently the public organization intends to perform the action on 2, April – World Day for Distribution of Information about Autism, School of Pediatrics, the First all-Ukrainian Pediatric Festival, “Medical Picnics” and other events. In connection to establishment of organization on this day they performed five master classes by departments in medical faculty No 3 on topics: “Clinical cases of measles at children” – Candidate of Medicine, assistant professor at department of pediatric infectious diseases Palatna L.O., “Communication with parents – Achilles’ heel of doctor-pediatrician” – Doctor of Medicine, professor at department of pediatric infectious diseases Vyhovska O.V., “Emergencies at children” – assistant at department of pediatrics No 4 Kryvonos Yu.M., “Basics of osteosynthesis at fractures in children” – Candidate of Medicine, assistant professor at department of pediatric surgery Holovatiuk D.V., Candidate of Medicine, assistant at department of pediatric surgery Karabeniuk D.V., “Basic life support at children” – assistant at department of anesthesiology and intensive care Diomin S.Yu. 96 students and doctors-interns took part in work of master classes. All participants in master classes received the certificates, the most active participants – the gifts.
