THE 1ST STAGE OF ALL-UKRAINIAN STUDENTS’ OLYMPIAD IN DISCIPLINE “PATHOLOGICAL ANATOMY” WAS HELD

The 1st tournament in all-Ukrainian Students’ Olympiad in academic discipline “pathological anatomy” was held on 6, March, 2018 by department of pathological anatomy No 1 in clinical base at Kyiv City Cancer under supervision of head at department, Doctor of Medicine, professor Zakhartseva L.M. The students of the 3rd, 4th and 6th courses from medical faculties No 1 and 2 took part in the Olympiad.

The program of the 1st tournament in Olympiad included some stages in assessment of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, namely: the performance of test control; pathomorphological diagnostics of diseases and pathological states due to the data from anamnesis, macroscopic and microscopic picture; detection of key morphological features for diseases, as well as the practical work, where the students had to establish the diagnosis and to describe certain morphological characteristics, working with multi cone microscope with real clinical cases, was engaged for the first time.

The composition of jury included the head at department of pathological anatomy No 1, professor Zakhartseva L.M. assistant professor at department Danylishyna M.V., senior laboratory assistant at department Nekrasova L.H. The student of the 6th course in medical faculty No 2 Slisarenko Maryna received the largest number of scores due to results from the 1st tournament of all-Ukrainian Students’ Olympiad, the second place due to the total number of scores is for student of the 4th course in medical faculty No 1 Bernyk Oksana. The student of the 4th course in medical faculty No 2 Plodiienko Mykola was the best one in practical part of tasks in Olympiad. The students of the 3rd course in medical faculty No 1 Kozhevnikova Kateryna and in medical faculty No 2 Fedorenko Anna and Hryhorchuk Oleksandr showed very good results in solution of test tasks and detection of key morphological features for diseases. Our congratulations to participants and our wishes for further successes, victories and interest in advanced knowledge in medical sciences.
