THE 2ND STAGE IN ALL-UKRAINIAN STUDENTS’ OLYMPIAD IN PEDIATRICS TOOK PLACE

The 2nd stage in all-Ukrainian students’ Olympiad in pediatrics took place on 29-30, March, 2018 at department of pediatrics No 5 at O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University. The head at department of pediatrics No 5, professor Viktor Lukashuk, head at division of students’ scientific activity, professor Leonid Pinskyi, head at department of clinical pharmacology and clinical pharmacy, professor Mykola Khaitovych, assistant professor at department of pediatrics No 2 and neonatology Tetiana Shevtsova, assistant professor at department of children’s and teenagers’ diseases at P.L. Shupyka NMAPE, as well as the guests and representatives from departments of pediatrics at NMU took part in opening the event.

33 participants from 12 higher medical schools and cities of Ukraine: Kyiv, Lviv, Bukovyna, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zaporizhzhia, Ternopil, Odessa, Sumy, Kharkiv and Dnipro took part in the 2nd stage in all-Ukrainian Olympiad in pediatrics. According to the terms for performance of the 2nd stage of Olympiad it was anticipated to assess the theoretical and practical knowledge of students. The event was held in mode of codification, when each participant on his/her own selected his/her sequence number. One from participants in Olympiad chose the variant of tasks for all. The theoretical part of tasks included 50 tests, practical one – 4 clinical tasks in passage and interpretation of laboratory tests and algorithm for practical skill in different sections of pediatrics. The jury under supervision of head at department of pediatrics No 5, professor Viktor Lukashuk defined the winners in Olympiad in personal priority due to the total number of scores due to results from fulfillment of contest tasks:

1st place – Nataliia Oliinyk (I.Ya. Horbachevskyi Ternopil State Medical University)

2nd place – Viktoriia Stavniichuk (O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University)

3rd place – Nina Lopuha (I.Ya. Horbachevskyi Ternopil State Medical University)
