VII INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL FORUM “INNOVATIONS IN MEDICINE – HEALTH OF NATION” 2016

The VII International medical forum “Innovations in medicine – health of nation” – the professional platform for exchange of experience and improvement of qualification that unites the powerful scientific practical program and the largest in Ukraine specialized exhibitions on recent achievements in the market of health care – took place on 9-21, April, 2016 at exhibition center “Kyiv-Expo-Plaza”.

The event was held under support from President of Ukraine, under the patronage of Committee of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on health care issues, as well as under official support from Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Ministry of health care of Ukraine, State service of Ukraine on medicines, Kyiv city state administration, under assistance of medical associations, public unions, higher medical schools, social funds in Ukraine and abroad.

The international medical forum is one of the largest events in Ukraine that gathers over 10 thousands of specialists in the sphere at “Kyiv-Expo-Plaza”, who represent over 300 leading producers and distributors of innovative medical equipment, services, medicines from Ukraine and 20 other countries all over the world that assists to the search, enlargement and consolidation of partners’ relations between professionals that are involved into processes for development of medical innovations and their commercialization.

The intellectual property department at Scientific research unit of O.O. Bohomolets NMU (head – A.V. Dinets) organized the poster exhibition of scientific technical and pharmacological innovations of departments at university in order to distribute the information about these developments among producers and distributors of innovative medical equipment and other visitors of exhibition that is the marketing event within implementation of transfer of technologies that are developed on the base of departments at NMU. Among such development there also were the samples of surgical instruments, designed by department of children’s surgery (head at department professor A.F. Levytskyy) and department of surgery No 4 (head at department professor V.G. Mishalov) that also presented the surgical instruments and intubations probe for prevention from spike small-bowel obstruction.

During International medical forum they performed the scientific practical conferences, included into “Register of meetings, congresses, symposiums and scientific practical conferences, which will be held in 2016”, approved by NAMS and MHC of Ukraine (No 3, p. 8 section “Congresses”). Among them the Institute of postgraduate education at O.O. Bohomolets NMU performed the conference “Autonomation of health care facilities: management of financial resources and implementation of financing system pursuant to treatment-related groups in hospitals of the second and third level of medical aid (NMU) during 2 lectures of which they presented 8 reports that were discussed during expert discussion panel.

O.O. Bohomolets NMU (department of traumatology and orthopedics) also was the co-organizer of the II interdepartmental scientific practical seminar “Battle injuries of locomotor apparatus: hospital stage and medical social rehabilitation”. At the seminar they widely discussed the aspects for rendering the aid to injured people with wound traumas and modern methodologies for rehabilitation of such patients.

The scientific research unit of NMU performed the conference “Transfer of medical technologies into health care in Ukraine” (moderators Dinets A.V., Muzychenko P.F.), where 16 presentations that reflect the innovative developments were presented. Some reports were accompanied by demonstration of exploratory prototypes, in particular the intubations prove was demonstrated in report by P.L. Byk (department of surgery No 4). The perspective innovative developments were presented by professor Shepetko Ye.M. (department of surgery No 3 at NMU), Shynkaruk Yu.L. and Iordanova N.Kh. (department of internal diseases at dental faculty), Iovitsa T.V., Tarynska O.L., Gyschak T.V., Volokha T.I., Nagorna K.I. (department of pediatrics of postgraduate education). Korol P.O., Romanenko G.O. (department of radiology and radiation medicine), Ryzhova I.P. (department of ophthalmology).

In general, each report was interesting for present participants in the conference and was accompanied by discussions. The theses of reports will be published in special issue of Ukrainian scientific medical journal for youth of O.O. Bohomolets NMU that is included into the list of scientific special editions of Ukraine.
