MINISTER’S OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE CONGRATULATION WITH DAY OF KNOWLEDGE

30.08.2014

Dear first-form pupils and students, dear teachers and parents!

Sincere congratulations with 1st September holiday – Day of knowledge!

This day will always be light and joyful, the most expected by those who will cross the porch of school or auditorium for the first time – first-form pupils and freshmen.

This holiday is also for those who are going to sit at the desk again and to make another step on so long, but so interesting, full of explorations and achievements, school path. Lighten school class-rooms, college and lyceum, university and institutes auditoriums will be filled with joyful and noisy children voices again on this exactly day.

Dear freshmen, new, very important page starts in your life. Exciting trip to the land of knowledge, which will open great prospects in front of you, is waiting for you. I am sure you will meet faithful friends and wise mentors – your pedagogues on this path.

My sincere congratulations to freshmen. Remember: you have made a conscious step in adult life, lay the foundation for your future – you have chosen your profession. Now your success will depend, first of all, on own wish to study and develop. Teachers will help to gain knowledge and skills, but it is very difficult to achieve considerable results without permanent self-improvement, skills to set a goal and achieve it.

Dear teachers! Quality of education, which our children receive, depends on your professionalism and hard work. Teacher carries out daily, sometimes not enough evaluated, but laborious, very tensional and quite necessary work. By giving yours knowledge, you give the part of your heart and soul to pupils. Children grow up, become adult and independent, but they remember their teachers during the whole life.

Thank you, dear colleagues, who every day enters children garden, class-room, auditorium, study groups and sections, thanks for patience, concern and wish to make education qualitative and available for every child of Ukraine, interesting and necessary for young generation!

Special thanks to those educators, who despite the danger and obstacles did everything possible the holiday of 1stSeptember, would take place for pupils from Donbas!

I wish everybody peace and harmony, aspiration for work, success in studying, professional satisfaction and creative achievements

Best regards,

Minister of Education and Science
