MEETING OF COMMISSION ON ISSUES OF BIOETHICAL EXAMINATION

The regular meeting of Commission on Issues of Bioethical Examination at O.O. Bogomolets NMU under the head of professor Shepetko Ye.M. took place on 1, February, 2018 in morphological building.

The first part of the meeting included the joint session with the school-seminar “Problems of bioethics and physics of living matters” (scientific supervisor of school-seminar – assistant professor Yehorenkov A.I.). During the meeting they considered the report-presentation “The use of molecular biological research methods at triple-negative breast cancer” (reporter Yanovytska M.O., assistant at department of pathological anatomy No 1). During discussion they analyzed the totality of medical, biostatistical and social ethical issues in performance of researches in this direction. The reporter managed to provide with good quality example for description of algorithm for establishment of research protocol. The professional comments to the report from present members in Commission enabled the young scientists and students imaging the creative difficulties in modern biomedical science.

In the second part of the meeting the Commission in Bioethics continued the expert consideration of Protocols of researches by scientists of NMU that plan their work or already prepare for defense of dissertations. In addition to consideration of protocols for dissertation researches, being traditional for Commission, they also considered the issues, related to international scientific grants. It is known that the modern rules require the thorough provision of bioethical requirements during execution of applications and performance of such researches. The report-presentation to propose the project of biomedical research for grant support of program “Horizon 2020” (reporter assistant professor Litvinova N.Yu.) was made. The Commission on Issues of Bioethical Examination, based on analysis of submitted documents and expert opinions of specialists, expressed the positive decision on occasion of application about grant support for this research.
