MEETING OF UNIVERSITY SUPERVISORY BOARD
The regular meeting for Supervisory Board of O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University took place today. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of famous public and political leader, chairman in Supervisory Board Yurii Shcherbak.
Director of SE “Academician A.P. Romodanov Institute of Neurosurgery at NAMS of Ukraine”, academician in NAMS of Ukraine, Honorary Scientist and Technologist of Ukraine, Laureate of State Prize of Ukraine in the sphere of science and technology Yevhenii Pedachenko, chairperson in Committee of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in foreign affairs Hanna Hopko, as well as new members in Supervisory Board – Ukrainian public leader, member in boards of European Council of Jewish Communities, European and World Jewish Congresses, executive vice-president in European Confederation of Ukraine and Congress of National Communities of Ukraine Yosyf Zisels, Ukrainian theatrical producer, art director – director of Kyiv Drama Theater in Podol, Laureate of T.H. Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine Vitalii Malakhov took part in the meeting. The rector of University, corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine, professor Kateryna Amosova, lawyer Anzhelika Sytsko and representatives of university administration were also present.
During the meeting the participants listened to the Report by rector, corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine, professor Kateryna Amosova about results from activity of O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University and fulfillment of terms in contract in 2017. They discussed the events that take place during recent week – a resonance about disappearance of ex-student Mukaddas Nasirlaieva and breakdown of licensing exam “KROK 1. Dentistry” for students of the 3rd course. The members in Supervisory Board blamed the situation, which hostages became the students of NMU and think that the University is right, both legally and morally, and in attitude to its students. According to the words by Yevhenii Pedachenko the issue about disappearance of the girl is the issue of law enforcement bodies and we cannot speak about the things that are not cleared out as this is the way for speculation.
The participants in the meeting learnt the legal aspects for issue about breakdown of LIE “KROK 1” by Testing Center at MHC of Ukraine. According to the words by advocate Anzhelika Sytsko the persons, responsible that the exam has not taken place is MHC of Ukraine as SO “Testing Center” subordinates namely to this ministry. “If the University by any way did not agree to pay in advance the money for not received services, so, SO “Testing Center” should render these services and only after that to appeal with the proposal about their payment by University”, – mentioned Anzhelika Sytsko.
According to results from meeting the members in Supervisory Board took the following decision:
- To take into account and to improve in general the report by corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine, professor Kateryna Amosova about results from activity of O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University and fulfillment of terms in contract by rector of O.O. Bogomolets NMU, professor Amosova K.M. in 2017. The decision was unanimously supported by all members in Supervisory Board. According to the words by Yurii Shcherbak, this does not mean that there are no defects and things, which shall be improved and perfected but this is the right course and policy by University administration, which the members in Supervisory Board support.
- To express the complete trust and support to corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine, professor Amosova K.M. in fulfillment of statutory University tasks at the post of rector. “Four members in Supervisory Board voted in favor, one vote from chairperson in Committee of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in Foreign Affairs Hanna Hopko was against.
- To support all events, initiated by administration of O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University, directed to provide with the interruptive work of establishment and to reinforce the control for work of dean’s office for work with foreign students.
Yurii Shcherbak emphasized that he supports the rector Kateryna Amosova as at present moment it is very important to support the famous doctor – cardiologist, to whom all information attacks of some officers that have inclusively ungrounded claims are concentrated.
