THE MEETING OF THE ACADEMIC COUNCIL OF THE UNIVERSITY

On May 23, 2014 in the conference hall of the administrative building the meeting of the Academic Council of the University was held.

Acting Rector of the O.O. Bohomolets National Medical University K.M. Amosova informed of replenishment of the members of Academic Council in the number of  three persons who pursuant to the Law of Ukraine on Higher Education and the Chater of the University are ex officio the members of the Academic Council:  recently appointed Vice-rector for administrative work O.A. Nykytiuk – the expert in ecology, doctor of agricultural sciences, professor, Honored Worker of Agriculture of Ukraine; Dean of the Medical Faculty no. 1, Associate Professor V.S. Melnyk; Dean for Internship and Emprovement of Qualifications of Doctors, Professor S.O. Dubrov.

Professor OP Volosovets as a representative of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine informed of the situation regarding the upcoming elections of the rector of O.O. Bohomolets as follows: the deadline for application submission expired on May 16, 8 persons submitted personally their documents, but during the week the Ministry of Health of Ukraine expects submission of documents that might be sent by mail. Then the submitted applications and supporting documents will be considered by the HR Commission of the MoH Ukraine to approve the list of candidates and to send the documents to the University which determine the date of the election.

Before proceeding to implement the agenda, Acting Rector, prof. K.M. Amosova proposed to devote a few minutes for greeting: “Over the past 4-5 months which had been distinguished by unrest events at the university, the Academic Council worked mainly “on demand  mode”, and solved only urgent issues. During this period, a lot of employees celebrated the anniversaries of their lives. The trade union committee and administration decided to congratulate the anniversary on that day”. More than 30 employees received Solemn Diplomas of the University Academic Council or commemorative addresses.

Yu.L. Kuchin, Docent of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care and O.D. Nikitin, Docent of Urology, received the certificates on assignment of academic titles of “Professor” and “Docent”.

The agenda of the Academic Council included considering 17 personnel issues: concerning the election for the office (6 persons) and awarding  with academic titles of “Professor” and “Associate Professor” (11 persons):

1.1. The election for the post of Head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology.

As a result of the competition declared one application was submitted by Vice-rector for Scientific and Pedagogical, Clinical Treatment Work and Postgraduate Education, Head of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, MD, Professor Oleksandr Naumenko, born in 1965, graduated from Kyiv Medical Institute in 1988-1990 with Research and Teaching experience of 21 years.

1.2. The election for the post of Professor of the Department of the Pediatric Dentistry and Therapeutic Prevention of Dental Diseases.

As a result of the competition declared one application was submitted by NATALIA V. BIDENKO, Docent, Professor of the Department of Pediatric Therapeutic Dentistry and Prevention of Dental Diseases, MD, born in 1964, graduated from Kyiv Medical Institute in 1986-1990, with scientific and teaching experience of 21 years.

1.3. The election for the post of Professor of Bioorganic, Biological and Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

As a result of the competition declared one application was submitted by Docent OLENA V. VELCHYNSKA, the Professor of Bioorganic, Biological and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, MD, born in 1962, graduated from Melitopol State Pedagogical Institute in 1985-1990 Scientific and with teaching experience of17

1.4. The election for the post of Professor of Otorhinolaryngology

a result of the competition declared one application was submitted by Docent YULIA V. DIEYEVA, the Professor of the Otorhinolaryngology Department, MD, born in 1970, graduated from the Ukrainian State Medical University in 1995 Scientific with teaching experience of13 years.

1.5. The election for the post of Professor of Internal Medicine Department no. 1.

As a result of the competition declared one application was submitted by Docent TETYANA Yo. MALCHEVSKA, Professor of Internal Medicine Department no. 1, MD, born in 1958, graduated from the Ternopil State Medical Institute in 1990 with scientific and teaching experience of 18 years .

1.6. The election for the post of Professor of Histology and Embryology.

As a result of the competition declared one application was submitted by Docent LYUDMILA M. SOKURENKO, the Professor of Histology and Embryology, MD, born in 1975, graduated from the National Medical University Bogomolets in 1998 1990 with scientific and teaching experience of 11 years.

1.7. Awarding of academic title of “Professor” in the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry to MARINA YU. ANTONENKO MD, Docent, Head of Departrment, born in 1958, graduated from Kyiv Medical Institute in 1980, works as a professor of Department of Therapeutic Dentisrty since March, 7, 2013 with research and teaching experience of 25 years.

1.8. Awarding of academic title of “Professor” in the Department of Philosophy and Sociology to IRINA V. VASYLYEVA, PhD., Docent, Head of the Department, born in 1957, graduated from Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University in 1980, works as the head Department of Philosophy and Sociology since August, 27, 2008 with  research and teaching experience of 29 years.

1.9. Awarding of academic title of “Professor” in the Department of Internal Medicine no.1 to OLENA YU. GUBSKA, Docent, Professor, MD, born in 1970, graduated from the Ukrainian State Medical University in 1993, working as a professor of the Department of Internal Medicine no.1 of September, 6, 2011 with scientific and teaching experience of 18 years.

1.10. Awarding of academic title of “Professor” in the Department of Internal Medicine no. 1 to YU. H. KUZENKO, Docent MD, Professor, born in 1952, graduated from Kyiv Medical Institute in 1975, works as a professor of the Department of Internal Medicine since September, 6, 2011 with scientific and pedagogical experience of 13 years.

1.11. Awarding of academic title of “Professor” in the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergology with the Section of Medical Genetics to ANDRII I. KURCHENKO, MD, Associate Professor, Head of Department, born in 1965, graduated from Chernivtsi Medical Institute in 1988, working as the Head of the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergology with the Section of Medical Genetics since January, 24, 2012 with Scientific-teaching experience of 17 years.

1.12. Awarding of academic title of “Professor” in the Department of Forensic Medicine to ANDRII M. BILIAKOV, Docent, MD, born in 1976, graduated from the O.O. Bohomoets National Medical University in 2000, working as a Docent of the Department of Forensic Medicine since January, 10, 2012 with scientific and pedagogical experience of 12 years.

1.13. Awarding of academic title of “Docent” in the Department of Pediatrics no. 3 to PhD, Associate Professor NATALIA S. BOIKO, 1959, graduated from Kyiv Medical Institute in 1982, working as assistant professor of Pediatrics №3 since 15.12. 2011 Research and teaching experience – 26 years.

1.14. Awarding of academic title of “Docent” in the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology to ROMAN S. DOVHAN, Docent, MD, born in 1979, graduated from the O.O. Bohomoets National Medical University in 2001, working as a Docent of the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology since April, 12, 2013 with scientific and pedagogical experience of 8 years

1.15. Awarding of academic title of “Docent” in the Department of Dermatology and Venereology to OLEKSII H. MIKHEYEV, Docent, MD, born in 1971, graduated from the O.O. Bohomoets National Medical University in 1994, working as a Docent of the Department of Dermatology and Venereology  since January, 1, 2010 with scientific and pedagogical experience of 17 years.

1.16. Awarding of academic title of “Docent” in the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics  to TARAS M. OMELCHENKO, Docent, MD, born in 1978, graduated from the O.O. Bohomoets National Medical University in 2002, working as a Docent of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics since December, 1, 2009 with scientific and pedagogical experience of 6 years.

1.17. Awarding of academic title of “Docent” in the Department of Pathological Anatomy  to ELDAR V. CHERKASOV, Docent, MD, born in 1979, graduated from the O.O. Bohomoets National Medical University in 2002, working as a Docent of the Department of Pathological Anatomy since 28.02.2013 with scientific and pedagogical experience of 9 years.

After resolving personnel issues  report of the Vice-Rector for Research Work, Professor  Yu.B.  Tchaikovskyi:  “Priorities and prospects of scientific activities at the O.O. Bohomolets National Medical University.  Report on scientific activities for 2013, approval of the consolidated plan of research for 2014 ” was presented.
