The newest technologies being introduced, the direction of medical work of the department: laparoscopic surgery on abdominal organs – hernia of the esophagus, cardiac achalasia, laparoscopic bariatric operations (laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery, gastric banding, intragastric balloon), laparoscopic interventions for surgical pathology of the stomach, intestine; laparoscopic interventions for hernias of the abdominal wall of different localization.

Minimally invasive endoscopic diagnostic techniques and surgery: retrograde endoscopic cholangiopancreatography and endoscopic interventions for mechanical jaundice of different etiology. Modern diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound techniques are introduced and widely used.
