MISHALOV VOLODYMYR GRYGOROVYCH – Doctor of Medicine, professor, head at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU.

Mishalov V.G. was born on 26, March, 1955 in c. Shpola Cherkasy region.

He started his practical activity in 1978 after graduation from Kyiv medical institute as a doctor-surgeon in clinical hospital No 23. During period since 1982 until 1998 he worked in Kyiv institute of clinical and experimental surgery at MHC of Ukraine (today O.O. Shalimov National institute of surgery and transplantology).

In 1984 he defended the dissertation for scientific degree of Candidate of Medicine on topic “Experimental clinical study on non-invasive microsurgical suture material “metalotrauma”.

Since 1986 Mishalov V.G. – senior scientific worker, and since 1987 – head at division of cardiovascular surgery and pulmonary artery thromboembolia.

In 1997 Mishalov V.G. defended the dissertation for scientific degree of Doctor of Medicine on topic “Surgical treatment of ischemic heart disease in combination with atherosclerotic lesions of other vascular basins”.

In 1998 rector in Bogomolets NMU invited professor Mishalov V.G. to the post of head at newly established department of hospital surgery No 2 with course of chest and vascular surgery (in 2008 it was renamed into department of surgery No 4), which he manages until now.

Since 2000 until 2006 – prorector on clinical work in Bogomolets NMU.

Mishalov V.G. is the doctor-surgeon of the highest category.

Professor Mishalov V.G. – scientific supervisor in city center of surgery on the base of UCH in c. Kyiv. Mishalov V.G. is a surgeon of wide profile, performs a number of operations on abdominal cavity organs, on the occasion of postoperative ventral hernia, carries out different operations in the field of plastic surgery, and is a leading specialist in Ukraine on treatment of multifocal atherosclerosis, problems of chronic venous insufficiency and pulmonary artery thromboembolia. Every year he himself makes over 400 operative interferences.

The public activity of professor Mishalov V.G. is versatile. He is a member in approbation council “General issues of surgery”, member in CMC on surgical disciplines at NMU, member in Academic Council of NMU, member in Academic council of NMU in medical faculty No 3, as well as specialized Academic council on defense of doctor’s dissertations at the Institute of cardiovascular surgery at AMS of Ukraine and NMAPE.

Professor Mishalov V.G. is a member in editorial board in 7 medical journals, Editor-in-Chief in journals “The heart and vessels”, “Surgery of Ukraine” and “Surgery in childhood”, as well as Mishalov V.G. is President in Association of cardiologists, vascular and cardiac surgeons in c. Kyiv, President in association of surgeons- hepatologists of Ukraine, Member in European association of surgeons, Member in board of European association of vascular surgeons.

Mishalov V.G. is the author of 16 monographs, over 100 inventions, 656 scientific articles. He edited the collection “Lectures on hospital surgery” in 3 volumes, methodological guides for practical classes on surgery for students of the 4 th, 5 th and 6 th courses. Under editorship by professor Mishalov V.G. tighter with professors Bereznitskyy Ya.S. and Zakharash M.P. they published the textbook “Surgery” in 3 volumes, which was approved by MHC of Ukraine as a textbook for students in higher medical schools of III-IV accreditation levels and received state prize in the sphere of science and technology. 20 candidate’s and 4 doctor’s dissertations were defended under supervision of Mishalov V.G., at present moment 3 doctor’s and 12 candidate’s dissertations are being prepared.

Professor Mishalov V.G. received numerous awards for many times for fruitful scientific, practical and public work. He is a Laureate of State prize of Ukraine in the sphere of science and technology, was awarded with charters of honor and letters of gratitude for many times from Kyiv city mayor and Ministry of health care of Ukraine, received diplomas from AS and AMS of Ukraine for cycle of scientific works. In 2000 Mishalov V.G. was awarded with honorary title “Honorary doctor of Ukraine”. He was awarded with medal “In commemoration of 1500 th anniversary for Kyiv”. Professor Mishalov V.G. was awarded with the Order of Christ the Savior from Kyiv patriarchate (2009) and Order of Saint Volodymyr of II degree from Moscow patriarchate (2011).

BURKA ANATOLIY OLEKSIYOVYCH – Doctor of Medicine, professor at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU.

Born on 5, July, 1941 in v. Ragivka Poliskyy district Kyiv region.

Graduated from Kyiv medical institute in 1964.

In 1964-1966 he worked as a teacher of surgery in Chernobyl medical high school, resident in surgical division of central district hospital and at the same time – interdistrict medical examiner.

He has been working at department of surgery since 1966 – as a postgraduate student, assistant, assistant professor, professor.

In 1969 Burka A.O. defended the dissertation for scientific degree of Candidate of Medicine on topic “Materials about state of coagulate, anti-coagulate hemic system and thromboelastography in patients with acute cholecystitis”.

In 1969-1974 he combined the work of assistant with work in Academic medical Council at MHC of Ukraine.

In 1972 he graduated with honors from Kyiv institute of patenting.

Since 1981 until 1998 Burka A.O. worked as a deputy dean on scientific activity in the 2 nd medical faculty.

In 1984 he defended the doctor’s dissertation on topic “Surgical treatment of patients with cholecystitis with accompanying diseases and complications”.

Burka A.O. is the author of 198 scientific works, 6 methodological recommendations, 6 inventions, 13 rational proposals, as well as the co-author of monographs, lectures on hospital surgery (v. I, II, III), textbook “Surgery”, v. II, III.

Professor Burka A.O. – doctor-surgeon of the highest category, who made the significant contribution into development of health care in the sphere of abdominal surgery. He improved the methods for operations on stomach, bowels, liver, gall bladder, bile ducts, pancreas, and methods for treatment of peritonitis, intestinal fistula, and infected wounds. The implementation of these developments into practice stipulated the significant increase in efficiency of treatment of serious diseases.

For many times Burka A.O. made speeches at Republican conferences, meetings of scientific society of surgeons in c. Kyiv and Kyiv region, at educational methodological conferences, is a participant in National Economy Achievement Exhibition of Ukraine. The Chief committee of National Economy Achievement Exhibition awarded him with diploma of I degree.

In 1998 Burka A.O. was invited by head at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU professor Mishalov V.G. to the post of professor at department, where he is working until now.

Professor Burka A.O. is a member in Boards of scientific societies of surgeons of Ukraine, Kyiv and Kyiv region, editorial board of journal “Surgery of Ukraine”, member in Academic council in medical faculty No 3 at NMU, chairman in Approbation council “General issues of surgery”, chairman in CMC on surgical disciplines.

For many times Burka A.O. received awards and letters of gratitude for fruitful work for benefit of human and state. He was awarded with Charters of honor from Kyiv city state administration, Charter of honor and letter of gratitude from MHC of Ukraine, Charter of honor from Kyiv city mayor, medals “In commemoration of 1500 th anniversary for Kyiv”, “Veteran of labor”. Burka A.O. was awarded with breastplate “For excellent successes in work” for merits in the sphere of higher education. The International academy of rating technologies and sociology “Golden Fortune” awarded him with medal “Labor glory” in 2012. Professor Burka A.O. on 7, June, 2013 was awarded with charter of honor in blessing for diligent work to the glory of Saint Church by Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine, Apostle of Ukrainian Orthodox Church Volodymyr.

hrapachKHRAPASH VASYL VASYLYOVYCH – Doctor of Medicine, professor at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU. Head of students’ scientific club at department of surgery No 4.

Born on 22, September, 1961 in c. Kyiv.

Graduated from Kyiv medical institute due to specialty “medical care” in 1986.

Worked due to specialties “surgery”, “vascular surgery” in Kyiv regional clinical hospital, RCH in c. Kyiv, in hospitals No 23 and 10.

In 1991 Khrapash V.V. defended the candidate’s dissertation on topic “Early diagnostics of acute destructive pancreatitis using semi conducting gas sensors” (scientific supervisor – professor Zemskov V.S.).

In 2007 he defended the doctor’s dissertation on topic “Surgical treatment of cosmetic defects in the head, body, extremities using supportive and restraint systems” (scientific consultant – professor Mishalov V.G.).

Since 1994 until 1998 he worked as an assistant at department of general surgery No 1 in KMI, and in 1998 he was invited by head at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU professor Mishalov V.G. to the post of assistant at department of surgery No 4. Since 2002 he occupies the post of assistant professor at that department, and since 2008 – professor.

He has the highest attestation category due to specialty “Surgery”.

In 1993 professor Khrapash V.V. is engaged mainly in plastic and reconstructive surgery. During 1993-1994 and 1995 he passed through training in Roman university “ La Sapienza”. During recent 15 years for many times he passed through courses on different sections of plastic and reconstructive surgery in Russia, Germany, Sweden, and Italy. He took part in over 40 conferences on actual issues in Australia, Austria, Armenia, Georgia, Italy, Germany and Russia, where he made numerous author’s reports. He is the co-organizer of some international conferences during 1996-2013.

The main list of original plastic operations, made by Khrapash V.V., includes face lifting, rhinoplasty, otoplasty, aesthetic and reconstructive mammoplasty, abdominalplasty, aesthetic operations in combination with general surgical ones, lipoplasty, endoprosthesis replacement of buttocks and shins, surgical sex transformation at transsexualism.

Author and co-author of 300 scientific works and 16 inventions, among which 12 textbooks and handbooks, 18 published papers on methodological work, 5 typical and 12 detailed curricula, 4 scientific themes.

Khrapash V.V. is the head of students’ scientific club at department.

Professor Khrapash V.V. – president in public organization “Club of cosmetic surgeon”, member in board of all-Ukrainian association of cosmetic, reconstructive, aesthetic surgeons, full member in “Society of cosmetic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeons” in Russia (SCRAS), member in International confederation of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeons (IPRAS), member in Academic council in medical faculty No 3 at Bogomolets NMU.

For active work Khrapash V.V. received two letters of gratitude and Charter of honor from Kyiv city mayor, two letters of gratitude from minister of health care of Ukraine, two prizes for places of honor at international scientific conferences, order from Orthodox church.

 

 

CHERNIAK VIKTOR ANATOLIYOVYCH – Doctor of Medicine, professor at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU.

Born on 30, June, 1960 in c, Luhansk in the family of medical workers (father – doctor-surgeon, mother – instrument nurse).

Graduated from medical faculty in Bogomolets Kyiv medical institute in 1983. After graduation from NMU since 1, August, 1983 he passed through postgraduate course due to specialty “surgery” on the base of Central city hospital in c. Bila Tserkva Kyiv region. During 1984-1986 he worked due to state order as a surgeon in Volodarska central district hospital in Kyiv region.

Since 1986 until 1994 Cherniak V.A. worked in Kyiv SRI of clinical and experimental surgery at MHC of Ukraine – first as a surgeon, then as a scientific worker, where he defended the candidate’s dissertation on topic ‘Diagnostics and surgical treatment of uncomplicated aneurism of abdominal part of aorta and glome arteries”. Due to results from this work he was awarded with State prize of Ukraine for 1994.

In 1993 he was sent to Libyan Jamahiriya, where he worked due to individual contract until 1997.

Since 1997 until 1998 Cherniak V.A. was senior scientific worker in Center of neuroendovascular surgery at AMS of Ukraine.

In 1999 he worked at the post of assistant at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU and, at the same time, until 2003 – head in division of cardiovascular surgery in RCH in c. Kyiv. Since 2005 Cherniak V.A. is the assistant professor at department of surgery No 4, and since 2009 – professor at that department.

In 2008 Cherniak V.A. defended the doctor’s dissertation on topic “Diagnostics and surgical treatment of chronic critical ischemia of lower extremities, combined with multifocal atherosclerosis”.

In 2013 he received the scientific degree “professor”.

Author of 270 scientific works, 38 patents for inventions, 15 rational proposals. The main directions of scientific work were devoted to problems of cardiovascular and emergency surgery.

Surgeon of the highest category.

For many times Cherniak V.A. was awarded with charters of honor from Minister of health care, order of Saint Volodymyr of III degree.

Married since 1985, his wife is pharmacist due to occupation. Two children that continue the dynasty of doctors, as well as younger sister – doctor.

 

 

 

ASSISTANT PROFESSORS AT DEPARTMENT

 

VERESHCHAKO ROMAN IVANOVYCH – Doctor of Medicine, assistant professor at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU.

Born on 25, July, 1962.

Graduated from Kuybyshev medical institute in 1985, received the diploma of general practitioner. Since 1985 until 1986 he studied at postgraduate course due to specialty “surgery” in Pogar CDH in Briansk region.

Since 1986 until 1990 worked in Starodybska CDH in Briansk region as a general surgeon.

During the period of 1991-1992 Vereshchako R.I. studied in clinical residency at department of pulmonology in P.L. Shupyka NMAPE. After graduation he was employed to division of thoracic surgery for adults in KCCH No 17, where he took an active part in the work of clinic, both practical and scientific one.

Vereshchako R.I. prepared and in 1999 successfully defended the candidate’s dissertation on topic “Reconstructive surgery of lung cancer”.

Since that year he has the highest category in thoracic surgery. He makes the surgical interferences on the lungs, trachea, bronchi, gullet, stomach, and diaphragm.

In 2008 he defended the doctor’s dissertation on topic “Treatment of corrosive strictures of esophagus”.

Since 2010 Vereshchako R.I. on part-time basis works as an assistant and since 2011 – assistant professor at department of surgery No 4. He performs practical classes on thoracic surgery with students of the 6 th course.

MARKULAN LEONID YURIYOVYCH

– Candidate of Medicine, assistant professor at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU. Responsible for scientific activity at department.

Born on 25, February, 1955 in c. Kyiv.

After finishing the secondary school during a year he worked as an ambulance man. In 1973 he entered to Bogomolets Kyiv medical institute, from which he graduated with honors in 1979 due to specialty “medical care”.

While studying at the institute since 1974 until 1976 he worked as a laboratory assistant in the Institute on problems of oncology at AS of UkrSSR, and since 1978 until 1979 – medical attendant in Kyiv SRI of clinical and experimental surgery.

After graduation from medical institute in 1979 Markulan L.Yu. due to job placement was enrolled to the post of doctor-surgeon in Kyiv SRI of clinical and experimental surgery. Since 1981 he worked as a junior scientific worker in division of cardiac and microvascular surgery, since 1982 – in division of surgery of gastrointestinal tract, and since 1991 was transferred to the post of scientific worker.

In 1990 Markulan L.Yu. defended the candidate’s dissertation on topic “Diagnostics and surgical treatment of chronic duodenal obstruction”.

He has the highest medical qualification due to specialty “surgery”.

He performs the operative interferences of the highest degree of complexity, implements the modern methods of operations into practice, in particular on abdominal cavity organs.

In 1998 he was invited by head at department of surgery No 4 professor Mishalov V.G. to the post of assistant at department. Since November 2004 Markulan L.Yu. occupies the post of assistant professor at that department. In 2006 he was awarded with title “assistant professor”.

He systematically performs the practical classes with students, performs the teaching load in full volume.

Responsible for scientific activity of department, member in Approbation council “General issues of surgery”.

Takes part in preparation of detailed curricula at department.

During his work Markulan L.Yu. published over 190 scientific works, including he is the co-author of textbook “General surgery”, two volumes of study guide “Lectures on hospital surgery”, “Practicum on surgery – module 1, 2, 4”. He has 22 author’s certificates for inventions. He prepared the lectures on topics “Differential diagnostics of “acute abdomen”, “Acute abdomen: treatment tactics”, “Surgical diseases of organs in endocrine system”, “Post-resection and post-vagotomy syndromes”, “Acute appendicitis”, “Acute peritonitis”.

His scientific researches cover a wide range of issues on acute and chronic pathology in digestive organs, vascular pathology.

He has been working on the doctor’s dissertation on topic “Diagnostics, treatment and prevention of intestinal bleeding in patients with complicated ischemic heart disease”.

He was awarded with O. Boychenko Prize for fruitful scientific work. Assistant professor Markulan L.Yu. in 2005 and 2007 received the decorations from Kyiv city mayor. Awarded with charter in blessing for diligent work to the glory of Saint Church, by Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine, Apostle of Ukrainian Orthodox Church Volodymyr.

 

 

SELIUK VIKTOR MYKHAYLOVYCH –Candidate of Medicine, assistant professor at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU .

Born on 1, April, 1961 in Chernihiv region.

In 1978 he finished the secondary school No 179 in c. Kyiv, and in 1984 – graduated with honors from medical faculty in Kyiv Bogomolets Order of the Red Banner of Labor medical institute due to specialty “Medical care”.

After graduation from the institute since 1984 until 1998 Seliuk V.M. work due to state job placement in Kyiv scientific research institute of clinical and experimental surgery at MHC of Ukraine: since 1984 until 1991 – doctor-surgeon, and since 1991 until 1998 – scientific worker in division of microsurgery and reconstructive plastic surgery, where he defended the candidate’s dissertation on topic “Reconstructive microsurgery in functional rehabilitation of patients with defects and cicatricial deformity of plantar surface of foot”.

In 1994 he passed through training in surgical clinic of medical faculty in Vienna university. Since 1994 until 1999 Seliuk V.M. took part in joint scientific project by department of vascular surgery in medical faculty at Vienna university, Kyiv scientific research institute of clinical and experimental surgery at AMS of Ukraine and Institute of physiology at NAS of Ukraine on research of ischemic reperfusion injury of tissues at pathology of arterial vessels.

In 1998 Seliuk V.M. was invited by head at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU professor Mishalov V.G. to the post of assistant and since 2003 he has been working at the post of assistant professor at that department.

While working in clinic and at department he showed himself as a qualified doctor-surgeon, clever teacher.

He has the highest qualification category due to specialty “Cardiovascular surgery”.

He performs the operative interferences of the highest degree of complexity, implements the modern methods of operations into practice.

Seliuk V.M. published over 250 scientific works, has 23 author’s certificates for inventions, 18 rational proposals. Co-author of textbooks: study guide “Lectures on hospital surgery” in three volumes, “Practicum on surgery – module 1, 2, 4”.

The main directions in scientific activity are devoted to problems of cardiovascular, reconstructive plastic surgery, cell transplantation.

Assistant professor Seliuk V.M. was awarded with charters of honor and decorations from Ministry of health care of Ukraine, Council of Ministers of Ukraine and Kyiv city mayor.

 

SOPKO OLEKSANDER IVANOVYCH – Candidate of Medicine, assistant professor at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU .

Born on 2, January, 1953, in picturesque Zakarpatye, in the family of doctors. He continued the dynasty of doctors, whose followers are his daughter Yanina (doctor – obstetrician-gynecologist, candidate of Medicine) and son Oleksander (doctor-cardiologist).

After graduation from Mukachivska secondary school No 16 in 1970 he studied in Ivano-Frankivsk medical institute.

He started his working activity as a doctor-surgeon in Chernihiv city hospital. Since 1981 Sopko O.I. – clinical resident, postgraduate student, scientific worker in Kyiv institute of clinical and experimental surgery, where in 1989 he defended the dissertation for scientific degree of Candidate of Medicine. He is obliged with his surgical development to the following famous surgeons as academician Shalimov O.O., professor Sukharev I.I., professor Sayenko V.F., Zavorotniy A.V.

Since 1998 he is the deputy chief doctor, head in surgical unit of KCCH No 9. In the same year Sopko O.I. was invited by professor Mishalov V.G. to the post of assistant at department, and since 2004 according to decision by Academic council in Bogomolets NMU he was awarded with title “assistant professor”.

Author of 65 scientific works and 4 patents for inventions, assistant professor Sopko O.I. is the co-author of study guide “Practicum on surgery – module 1, 2, 4”. For many times he made reports at scientific practical conferences and congresses.

BALABAN OLEG VALERIYOVYCH – Candidate of Medicine, assistant professor at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU .

Born on 1, June, 1966.

In 1983 he finished the secondary school No 236 in c. Kyiv, and in 1991 – medical faculty in Bogomolets Kyiv medical institute.

Since 1992 worked as a resident in surgical unit of RCH in c. Kyiv.

Since 1995 until 1997 he studied at clinical residency at department of surgery No 2 in Kyiv medical academy of postgraduate education.

Since 1998 Balaban O.V. works at the post of assistant, and since 2008 – assistant professor at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU, where he was invited by head at department professor Mishalov V.G.

In 2002 he defended the candidate’s dissertation on topic “Surgical treatment of cosmetic defects in front abdominal wall at patients with adiposity of II-III degree”.

Author and co-author of 130 scientific works, 16 declarative patents for inventions, assistant professor Balaban O.V. is also the co-author of study guide “Practicum on surgery – module 1, 4”.

The scientific researches were devoted to the problems of diagnostics, treatment and prevention of acute pancreatitis, gastric and duodenal ulcer, gallstone disease, problems of plastic and reconstructive surgery. He takes an active part in scientific practical conferences on surgery and adjoining specialties.

For many times Balaban O.V. received charters of honor, letters of gratitude, costly presents from Kyiv city mayor and chief administration of health care in c. Kyiv for fruitful work. In 2013 he was awarded with the order of Saint Volodymyr from Kyiv Patriarchate.

 

 

LESHCHYSHYN IVAN MYKHAYLOVYCH – Candidate of Medicine, assistant professor at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU .

Born on 14, June, 1963 in Lviv district.

After finishing the secondary school in 1980 he entered to Lviv Order of Peoples’ Friendship medical institute, after which graduation since 1986 until 1990 he worked as a doctor-surgeon in surgical unit of Seredyno-Budska CDH in Sumy region.

Since 1990 until 1993 Leshchyshyn I.M. studied in clinical residency in Bogomolets NMU on the base of department of faculty surgery No 1, and after its graduation he worked as a doctor-surgeon in TMU in Radianskyy district in c. Kyiv in hospital No 22 (now No 18) and at the same time – as an assistant at department of faculty surgery No 1 in Bogomolets NMU.

In 2000 Leshchyshyn I.M. was invited by professor Mishalov V.G. to the post of assistant at department of surgery No 4, where he has been working at the post of assistant professor since 2009.

Surgeon of the highest category.

Assistant professor Leshchyshyn I.M. is fruitfully engaged into problems of gastrointestinal bleeding at myocardial infarction, surgery of abdominal wall hernia, problems of simultaneous operations on abdominal cavity organs.

Leshchyshyn carries out an active scientific work. The topic of his candidate’s dissertation is “Complex treatment and prevention of erosive ulcerous acute gastro-duodenal bleeding in patients with myocardial infarction”.

Assistant professor Leshchyshyn I.M. is the co-author of 10 patents and about 70 articles, co-author of study guide “Practicum on surgery – module 1, 4”.

He was awarded with letter of gratitude from Kyiv city mayor (2006), order “Archangel Mykhail” (2009), charter from medical trade unions (2011), charter from Metropolitan Volodymyr of UOCMP (2013).

 

GOYDA SERHII MYKHAYLOVYCH – Candidate of Medicine, assistant professor at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU .

Born on 1, June, 1970 in v. Geletyntsi in Khmelnytsk region.

After finishing the school with silver medal in 1987 entered to Chernivtsy state medical institute, from which he graduated in 1994 due to specialty “Medical care”.

After graduation from the institute since 1994 until 1997 he passed through study at postgraduate course due to specialty “surgery” at department of surgery in advanced training faculty for doctors in Vinnytsia M.I. Pirogov state medical university.

In 1997 Goyda S.M. worked as a surgeon in Center of gastrointestinal bleeding in Khmelnitsk regional clinical hospital.

Since 1997 until 1999 he passed through training in clinical residency at department of thoracoabdominal and vascular surgery in P.L. Shupyka NAMPE.

Since September 1999 Goyda S.M. works at the post of resident in surgical unit in CMCH, and since 2008 – in RCH in c. Kyiv. In February 2008 he was appointed to the post of head at department of general surgery in RCH in c. Kyiv.

Since 1999 until 2003 by correspondence he studied at postgraduate course in P.L. Shupyka NMAPE at MHC of Ukraine.

In 2005 he defended the dissertation for scientific degree of Candidate of Medicine on topic “Prevention and treatment of postoperative choledocholithiasis”.

In 2003 Goyda S.M. was invited by professor Mishalov V.G. to department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU, where he has been working as an assistant professor at department on part-time basis.

Assistant professor Goyda S.M. is the author of about 60 scientific works, 6 declarative patents for invention, as well as co-author of study guide “Practicum on surgery – module 1, 4”.

GONZA ROMAN VOLODYMYROVYCH – Candidate of Medicine, assistant professor at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU . Responsible for academic methodological work at department.

Born on 26, December, 1978 in c. Kyiv.

In 1993 he finished the secondary school No 238 in c. Kyiv and in 1996 – Kyiv medical high school No 4, and in the same year he entered to Bogomolets NMU, from which he graduated in 2002. Since 2002 until 2004 he studied at internship at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU.

In 2002 Gonza R.V. was invited by head at department of surgery No 4 professor Mishalov V.G. to the post of senior laboratory assistant at department, since 2005 he works at the post of assistant and since 2012 he occupies the post of assistant professor at that department. Since 2009 he is responsible for academic methodological work at department.

Since 2004 Gonza R.V. was enrolled to the post of doctor-surgeon in RCH in c. Kyiv, where he works until now.

In 2008 Gonza R.V. defended the candidate’s dissertation on topic “Surgical correction of cosmetic defects in lacteal glands”.

Takes an active part in main scientific developments of department, namely: treatment of cosmetic defects in the head, body, extremities; modern methods for diagnostics and treatment of diseases in abdominal cavity organs – the liver, biliary tracts, pancreas, stomach and bowels.

Published 70 printed works, co-author of 10 declarative patents for invention, assistant professor Gonza R.V. is the co-author of study guide “Practicum on surgery – module 1, 2, 4”.

In 2004 he graduated from the First Kyiv state courses of foreign languages, passed through complete course of English division.

Born on 31, July, 1964 in c. Dymytrov Donetsk region in the family of miner.

In 1987 graduated from Chernivtsy medical institute due to specialty “Medical care”.

Since 1987 until 1988 Zarya I.L. studied at internship at department of general surgery in Donetsk medical institute. Later he worked as a surgeon in surgical unit of Dymytrov city clinical hospital. Since 1991 until 1993 he studied in clinical residency at department of surgery and proctology in Kharkiv refresher institute.

In 1994 under supervision of professor B.M. Dotsenko he defended the dissertation for scientific degree of Candidate of Medicine in specialty “Surgery” on topic “Ways to optimize the diagnostics and treatment of patients with acute pyogenic cholangitis”.

Since 1995 Zarya I.L. worked as a surgeon in city clinical hospital No 10, later in the same year – assistant at department of general surgery No 1 in NMU under supervision of professor Zemskov V.S.

Since 1999 he has been working as an assistant at department of surgery No 4 under supervision of professor Mishalov V.G.

His specialization includes general surgery, proctology, and surgery of biliary tracts.

Zarya I.L. is the author of 70 published works in periodical medical editions.

LITVINOVA NATALIIA YURIYIVNA – Candidate of Medicine, assistant at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU .

In 1996 graduated with honors from Lviv Danylo Galytskyy state medical university due to specialty “Medical care”. After graduation since 1996 until 1999 she studied at master’s course due to specialty “Oncology and oncosurgery” at department of oncology in Lviv Danylo Galytskyy state medical university.

In 1999 Litvinova N.Yu. was invited by head at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU professor Mishalov V.G. to the post of assistant at department, where she works now.

In 2005 she defended the dissertation for scientific degree of Candidate of Medicine due to specialty “Cardiovascular surgery” in M.M. Amosov Scientific research institute of cardiovascular surgery on topic “Surgical treatment of atherosclerotic occlusive stenotic injury of brachiocephalic arteries in patients with accompanying ischemic heart disease”.

Doctor of the first category due to specialty “Surgery”.

During the work Litvinova N.Yu. showed herself as a skilful clinician, capable organizer. She has the significant experience of operative interferences in emergency and selective surgery. She knows the modern methods for diagnostics and surgical interference. She is constantly interested in new medical literature on specialty, engaged into scientific and inventory activity.

She has about 150 published works, 10 declarative patents for inventions on problems of diagnostics and treatment of vascular pathology, is the co-author of study guides “Lectures on hospital surgery” in three volumes, “Practicum on surgery – module 1, 2, 4”. She takes part in scientific conferences on vascular surgery.

Litvinova N.Yu. is working on the doctor’s dissertation on topic “Issues on application of stem cells in treatment of chronic critical ischemia of lower extremities”.

KOVAL BORYS MYKHAYLOVYCH – Candidate of Medicine, assistant at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU .

Born on 11, January, 1979.

After graduation from Bogomolets NMU in 2002 he studied at internship due to specialty “Surgery” on the bases of department of surgery No 4 under supervision of professor Mishalov V.G.

He started his working activity during study in 1999 as a male nurse in department of cardiological reanimation in M.D. Strazhesko SRI of cardiology. In 2003 he worked as a senior laboratory assistant in department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU. Since 2004 until 2006 he studied and worked in clinical residency on the bases of department of surgery No 4 in NMU (in RCH in c. Kyiv at the post of doctor-surgeon in emergency and first aid in general surgery unit, as a doctor-surgeon in surgical unit and center of surgical hematology in KCCH No 9).

In 2006 Koval B.M. was invited to the post of assistant in department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU and at the same time he started working as a vascular surgeon-consultant in clinic of vascular surgery in Chief military medical clinical center of MD of Ukraine.

In 2011 he received the first attestation category due to specialty “Surgery”, has the specialization on vascular surgery. In the same year he defended the candidate’s dissertation on topic “Diagnostics and surgical treatment of chronic critical ischemia of lower extremities in patients with diabetes mellitus of II type”.

Author and co-author of 75 scientific publications, 14 patents for inventions, among them 2 textbooks, 2 methodical guides. He systematically performs the practical classes with students of the 4 th and 5 th courses.

Since 2009 he performs the duties of trade union leader at department, since 2012 – secretary of scientific journal “Surgery of Ukraine”.

MYRGORODSKYY DENYS SERHIYOVYCH – Candidate of Medicine, assistant at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU .

Born on 31, December, 1974 in c. Kyiv.

Since 1981 until 1989 he studied in secondary school No 57.

Since 1989 until 1992 he studied in Kyiv medical high school No 4, from which he graduated with honors.

Since 1994 until 2000 he studied in Bogomolets NMU. While studying he was actively engaged into public activity. Since 1997 until 2002 – chairman in O.A. Kysil students’ scientific society. Since 2002 until 2008 – chairman in Council of young scientists in Bogomolets NMU. He organized and performed 12 international conferences. In 2000 he received the prize from AMS of Ukraine for the best student’s scientific work.

In 2000-2002 Myrgorodskyy D.S. worked at the post of senior laboratory assistant at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU, at the same time he studied at internship due to specialty “Surgery”. Since 2002 until 2004 he studied at clinical residency at that department.

Since 2002 he was enrolled to the post of doctor-surgeon in division of cardiovascular surgery in RCH, where he works until now.

Since 2004 until 2007 – student having a scholarship from Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Since 2004 until 2007 he studied at intramural postgraduate course in department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU.

In 2010 he defended the candidate’s dissertation on topic “Thrombolytic therapy of acute venous thrombosis (experimental clinical research)”.

Since 2010 until 2013 he studied at Academy of state management at President of Ukraine in faculty of state management in the sphere of health care. He received the diploma of master on state management.

Born on 24, August, 1975 in urban settlement Tomashgorod, Rivne region.

In 1994 graduated from Rokytniv medical high school in Rivne region, and since 2000 – Bogomolets NMU due to specialty “Medical care”. Since 2000 until 2001 he studied in Ukrainian military medical academy. Since 2001 until 2003 – at internship due to specialty “Surgery”.

Since 2003 Kozubovych R.M. works as a doctor-surgeon in surgical unit in KCCH No 9.

Since 2009 he is the assistant in department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU.

In October 2012 Kozubovych R.M. defended the candidate’s dissertation on topic “Peculiarities for diagnostics and rendering specialized aid to patients with hypocoagulation syndrome in emergency abdominal surgery”.

He combines the practical activity with scientific one. Kozubovych R.M. is the author of 23 published works. He constantly takes part in different conferences and congresses.

The main directions in his practical and scientific activity are devoted to problems of emergency abdominal surgery, surgical tactics at operative interferences in patients with inborn and acquired coagulopathy, implementation of newest laparoscopic technologies in abdominal surgery.

Born on 7, August, 1977 in c. Kyiv.

Malynovska L.B. graduated with golden medal from lyceum “Eco” No 198 and entered to Bogomolets NMU, from which she graduated in 2001 due to specialty “Medical care”. Since 2001 until 2003 she studied at internship: extramural cycle – in II surgical division in Kyiv city clinical hospital of first aid, intramural cycle – at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU.

In 2002 Malynovska L.B. was invited by head at department professor Mishalov V.G. to the post of senior laboratory assistant in department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU. Since 2006 she occupies the post of assistant in department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU.

In 2010 she defended the candidate’s dissertation in P.L. Shupyka NMAPE on topic “Prevention of cardiac complications at surgical treatment of patients with chronic ischemia of lower extremities, combined with ischemic heart disease”.

Author and co-author of 52 scientific publications and 7 declarative patents, co-author of textbook “Practicum on surgery – module 2, 4”. She constantly takes part in different conferences and congresses, including with reports. She has two diplomas of I and II degree for scientific works, which were presented at conferences of young scientists.

In 2005 she has been working in admission commission at Bogomolets NMU.

After graduation from Bogomolets NMU in 2000 he was invited by head at department of surgery No 4 Mishalov V.G. to the post of senior laboratory assistant at department and at the same time he studied at internship due to specialty “Surgery” on the basis of department of surgery No 4, where he has been working as an assistant at department since 2009.

In 2002 he received the certificate of doctor-specialist due to specialty “Surgery”.

In November 2012 Kostromin G.O. defended the candidate’s dissertation on topic “Surgical treatment of patients with aneurism of abdominal region of aorta in combination with ischemic heart disease”.

BYK PAVLO LEONIDOVYCH – assistant at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU .

Born on 2, June, 1983 in c. Novovolynsk, Volyn region.

In 2000 graduated from Novovolynsk regional lyceum with golden medal.

In 2000-2006 he studied at Bogomolets NMU, from which he graduated with honors. While studying at university he took an active part in the work of O.A. Kysil SSS, was engaged into scientific clubs at SRTC (now Institute on problems in pathology), surgery, Pathophysiology. Byk P.L. took the prize places in all-Ukrainian students’ Olympiads on biochemistry (2002), Pathophysiology (2003), operative surgery (2004), surgery (2006), different scientific conferences of students and young scientists.

In 2006 Byk P.L. was invited by head at department professor Mishalov V.G. to the post of senior laboratory assistant at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU and enrolled to internship at department due to specialty “Surgery”. Since 2009 he has been working as an assistant at department on part-time basis.

At present moment he manages the direction of experimental surgery in students’ scientific club of department, is responsible for pages of department in site of NMU and educational portal.

He is working on candidate’s dissertation on topic “Prevention and treatment of connective disease of peritoneum at open abdominal operations with opening lumen of alimentary canal”.

He has 30 published works, among them 11 patents, is co-author of textbook “Practicum on surgery – module 1 and module 4”.

In 2007 Zavodovskyy Ye.S. was invited by head at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU, professor Mishalov V.G. to the post of senior laboratory assistant at department. Since February 2008 he was enrolled to internship at department of surgery No 4, after graduation from which he received the qualification “Doctor-surgeon”. Since 2010 he has been working as an assistant on part-time basis.

He is working on dissertation on topic “Prevention and treatment of surgical complications in peritoneal dialysis at patients with terminal stages of chronic kidney diseases”.

Author of 32 published works, co-author of textbook “Practicum on surgery – module 2, module 4”.

He studies the issues on diagnostics and treatment of acute abdominal pathology, chronic venous insufficiency and varicose disease.

MATVEYEV ROMAN MYKOLAYOVYCH – assistant at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU .

Born on 13, April, 1984 in Chernihiv region.

Finished nine classes in Voronkiv school of general education and in 1999 was enrolled to Ukrainian medical lyceum at Bogomolets NMU.

In 2007 he graduated with honors from Bogomolets NMU.

Since 1, August, 2007 he works at department of surgery No 4 at the post of senior laboratory assistant in department, and since 2010 – assistant on part-time basis.

He has 17 published works, is co-author of textbook “Practicum on surgery – module 1, 2, 4”. Matveyev R.M. is the co-author of methodological guides for MHC on treatment of chronic pancreatitis.

He is working on dissertation on topic “Mini-invasive and efferent methods in complex treatment of patients with acute destructive pancreatitis.

Born on 12, October, 1983 in c. Kamin-Kashyrskyy, Volyn region in the family of doctors (father – doctor-therapeutist, mother – neurologist).

In 2000 finished with honors from school of general education No 2 in Kamin-Kashyrskyy and entered to Bogomolets NMU, from which he graduated with honors in 2006 and was recommended to scientific activity. Since 2007 until 2010 he studied in internship and master’s course due to specialty “Surgery”. He passed through intramural cycle of internship at department of surgery No 4 in division of cardiovascular surgery in RCH, extramural cycle – on the training base of KCCH No 12 in the center of gastrointestinal bleeding. In 2010 he received the certificate of doctor-specialist due to specialty “Surgery” and defended the master’s course on topic “Diagnostics and surgical treatment of extravascular compression of spinal artery” with honors.

After graduation from internship he worked as a doctor-surgeon in KCCH No 18 in c. Kyiv. Since 2010 until 2013 he studied at postgraduate course in department of surgery No 4.

MISHALOVAANNA VOLODYMYRIVNA – senior laboratory assistant at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU.

Born on 10, May, 1989 in c. Kyiv.

In 2005 after finishing I. Franko specialized school No 92 with silver medal, she entered to Bogomolets NMU, from which she graduated with honors in 2011. While studying she was actively engaged into public and scientific activity, member in O.A. Kysil Students’ scientific society. Mishalova A.V. was included into Book of Honor at Bogomolets NMU for significant contribution into work and life of NMU as one of the best students at the university.

Since 1, August, 2011 Mishalova A.V. was enrolled to the post of senior laboratory assistant at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU, where she studies at internship due to specialty “Surgery”.

Author of 17 published works, as well as co-author of textbook “Practicum on surgery – module 1, 2”.

She speaks English fluently. In March 2011 she passed through Cambridge exam CAE (Certificate in Advanced English), receiving the level C2 from Council of Europe. She is studying Italian and Spanish.

By correspondence she is studying at Kyiv National Linguistic University in faculty of German philology.

 

 

NAGALIUK YULIIA VOLODYMYRIVNA – senior laboratory assistant at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU.

Born on 30, September, 1989 in c. Archangelsk, Russia.

In 2004 she graduated with honors from Lutsk musical school No 1, divisions of piano and choreography. In 2006 she finished 11 classes in Educational complex No 9 in c. Lutsk with golden medal.

In 2012 graduated with honors from medical faculty No 1 at Bogomolets NMU. She took an active part in scientific and public life of the university. 2008-2012 – member in O.A. Kysil students’ scientific society and students’ Parliament at Bogomolets NMU. Since 2007 she was actively engaged into scientific research work in students’ scientific club at department of surgery No 4.

She was awarded with scholarship from Academic Council of Bogomolets NMU (2008), O.O. Bogomolets scholarship (2009), scholarship from program of Viktor Pinchuk “Tomorrow UA” (2009/2010) and scholarship from KCSA (2011) for achievements in study and scientific work.

Since 2009 until 2012 she worked at National institute of cancer as a medical nurse in division of children’s oncology.

SAMOLYGA OLENA OLEKSANDRIVNA – laboratory assistant at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU.

Born in 1960.

Graduated from Kyiv school No 76 and in 1979 with honors – Kyiv medical high school No 2 in specialty “Medical nurse”.

Since 1979 she worked in clinical hospital No 7 as a medical nurse in division of pulmonology, since 1983 – medical nurse of II division in Kyiv scientific research institute of clinical and experimental surgery (medical nurse in manipulation room, medical nurse in ward, medical nurse of pyogenic bandaging room).

In 1998 she was invited to the post of laboratory assistant with medical education to department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU, where she is working until now.

OKHOTSKA OLGA IGORIVNA – postgraduate student at department of surgery No 4 in Bogomolets NMU.

Born on 11, March, 1983 in c. Kyiv.

In 2000 she finished school No 193 with golden medal and entered to Bogomolets NMU, after graduation from which in 2006 she obtained the higher education due to specialty “Medical care” and acquired the qualification “Doctor”.

Since 2006 Okhotska O.I. continued studying at internship in department of surgery No 4 to receive the qualification on specialty “Surgery”. After graduation from internship she entered to clinical residency on the base of department of surgery No 4.

Since 2011 she has been studying at postgraduate course on the base of department of surgery No 4. She is preparing the dissertation “Surgical correction of sex in patients with female transsexualism”.

Author of 51 published work, co-author of 2 patents. Since 2007 she takes part in scientific research work of department “Innovations in plastic and reconstructive surgery”. She makes the reports at scientific practical conferences”, which are held by department, and at international conferences.

Born on 24, April, 1984. In 2001 finished the school of general education No 8, c. Boryspil.

Since 2007 until 2010 he studied at internship due to specialty “Surgery” on the base of Oleksandrivska clinical hospital in c. Kyiv. During 2010-2012 he studied in clinical residency due to specialty “Surgery”.
