DEPARTMENT OF PHTHISIOLOGY AND PULMONOLOGY

Scientific work

Over the past 15 years, the department performed 12 households. contractual, 3 initiative and research work:

  • “The study of the prevalence and effectiveness of treatment of HIV-associated TB”, state registration number 001 309 0105 U, Deadline: 01.01.2005 – 31.12.2010 years;

  • “To study the possibility of increasing the effectiveness of treatment of TB patients by improving the methods and pathogenetic antimycobacterial therapy”, state registration number 002 045 0100 U, Deadline: 01.01.2000 – 31.12.2004’s.)

3 research work for the state budget, which the Ministry of Health of Ukraine customer:

  • “Improvement of existing and development of new methods and pathogenetic antimycobacterial therapy in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis”, state registration number 000 788 0102 U, Deadline: 01.01.02 – 31.12.05 gg .;
  • “The prevalence, clinical course and outcome of TB treatment among high-risk disease,” state registration number 003 090 0108 U, Deadline: 01/01/2008 – 31/12/2009’s ;
  • “Peculiarities of tuberculosis and viral hepatitis on a background of HIV infection,” state registration number 000 710 0113 U, Deadline: 01/01/2013 – 12/31/2015 p.).

Based on the disclosure mechanism and laws of motion of tuberculosis department developed new methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of tuberculosis. To improve the effectiveness of treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis among new cases in modern conditions the department conducted search and development of methods and testing combination chemotherapy more effective chemotherapy combinations of existing and creation of new ones.

Along with research schemes and methods of intensive chemotherapy of tuberculosis, including pathophysiological features of its course, is searched pathogenetic treatments for this disease. Developed and tested circuit and method of appointment set THREE-PLUS-VI, which was first used in the treatment of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis (RG Protsiuk, IM Kononenko, 2002). We studied the efficacy of singlet-oxygen therapy in the treatment of patients with tuberculosis, which promotes detoxification of the body expressed (VI Petrenko, A. Tonkovyd, IL Ruban, 2006), the drug Duphalac to correct amino acid composition of blood (in .And. Petrenko, IA Galan, 2008) and Kagocel correcting performance of the immune system in patients with newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis (VI Petrenko YA Varchenko, 2010).

The study, conducted at the department, proved the feasibility of information-wave therapy “IWT-Threshold” (as pathogenetic method) and the technique of its use in the treatment of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis (VI Petrenko, O. Pavlenko, 2002) .

The persistence of the problem identified toxic liver damage urgency of diagnosis and finding new schemes of complex treatment of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. Employees of the department (V. Petrenko, O. Pavlenko, 2004) developed a method of treatment of patients with newly detected pulmonary tuberculosis with extra purpose Hepatoprotectors glutargin.

One aspect of the program against tuberculosis is the development of diagnostic methods. For differential diagnosis hepatotoxic and cholestatic options side effects of TB drugs introduced method of ultrasound diagnostics, including Doppler hepatobiliary system that enables timely and efficient correction of antimycobacterial therapy.

For the first time in Ukraine in the department began studying the content of immunoglobulin (IgG, IgM, IgA) serum specific to Mycobacterium tuberculosis (to improve diagnosis and monitoring the effectiveness of treatment of tuberculosis), with imunnofermentnoho method (VI Petrenko, Malinovskaya TV, AV Stopolyanskyy, YA Varchenko, 2003). Using monoclonal antibodies is investigated by the department of cell apoptosis, subpopulations of immune cells, cytokine profile, which enables the timely correction of TB treatment and predict its course. The results of immunological studies highlighted the scientific and methodical conference with international participation “Immunological aspects of tuberculosis and nonspecific respiratory diseases” (15 April 2005), held at the department.

Employees of the department conducted research of the amino acid composition of the blood of patients with newly detected pulmonary tuberculosis by ion-exchange liquid-column chromatography using automatic analyzer amino acids (VI Petrenko, IA Galan, 2005) studied the composition of fatty acids and nitric oxide metabolites in the blood of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis (affected and not affected by the Chernobyl accident).

A significant increase in the incidence of tuberculosis and its pathomorphosis necessitate the creation of new and improvement of existing methods for diagnosis of tuberculosis to survey a wide range of people. Employees of the department invented “method of assessment of severity of pulmonary tuberculosis”, which provides a forecast of the results of his treatment (V. Petrenko, OB Pikas, 2005) developed “method for assessing the degree of decompensation of chronic pulmonary heart disease with fibro-cavernous pulmonary tuberculosis” and “Method of diagnosis of new-onset clinical form of tuberculosis” (V. Petrenko, OB Pikas, 2006).

Based on research conducted by the department, invented methods of risk assessment and method of predicting the risk of bronchopulmonary diseases (VI Petrenko, OB Pikas, 2005), which enables a more timely and effective use of prevention for these diseases . Scientific achievements of the department is the invention of a method for evaluating disorders of adaptation of the organism, which is important for assessing the general state of its planning and proactive measures (VI Petrenko, OB Pikas, 2005). Scientific research department of tuberculosis and pulmonology were shown at the exhibition “Scientific and technological and innovative projects of inventors and innovators. Kyiv” (2007).

The role of environmental factors in causing BLZ – this is the second issue of our time, which is engaged chair. A special place in the event of their assigned smoking cigarettes (both passive and active) (VI Petrenko, Pikas AB, 2005) and the effects of ionizing radiation (VI Petrenko, OB Pikas, 2005) . The studies highlighted at the scientific conference “Ecological problems of tuberculosis and pulmonology” (1 October 2004).

The studies highlighted in these scientific-methodological and scientific-practical conferences with international participation, are organized by the Department of tuberculosis and pulmonology named NMU OO Bogomolets: “Immunological aspects of tuberculosis and nonspecific respiratory diseases” (April 15, 2005, Kyiv), the conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Professor MS Pylypchuk (May 19, 2006, Kyiv), “Actual problems of tuberculosis in children and adolescents’ (23-24 February 2014, Kyiv),” Modern problems of co-infection of TB and HIV / AIDS “(29 – 30 March 2011 year Yalta), “medical and social problems of tuberculosis in Ukraine” (18 – 19 March 2013, Kyiv) and “Current issues of care for patients co-infected with tuberculosis, HIV, hepatitis” (15-16 October 2014 g., Kyiv).

Over recent years, the department received 12 patents for utility models, 6 newsletters and 2 guidelines “Texts dictations for secondary (all types), vocational and higher (I-II accreditation) education on tuberculosis prevention” ( 2002) and “The optimum ratio doses of isoniazid and vitamin B6 in the treatment of tuberculosis destructive” (2006).

The department participated in the development of standards Ministry of Health of Ukraine: “Standard of care for patients with tuberculosis himiorezystentnyy” (2009) and “Standard treatment for HIV-positive people who are injecting drug users” (2008).
