Petrenko Vasily Ivanovych 

 

 

Head of Department, Professor, MD, doctor of the highest category in the field “phthisiology” and “pulmonology” Excellence in Education of Ukraine, Honored Doctor of Ukraine.

Vasily Petrenko graduated from Kyiv Medical Institute (now the National Medical University Bogomolets) with honors, was recorded in the Golden Book of Honor graduates and recommended for scientific work.

Thesis “Content and correction of application of isoniazid, rifampicin and streptomycin in tuberculosis bolnyih, oslozhnennyim lyehochnyim chronic heart” protected in 1986.

Doctoral thesis: “The system of eicosanoids and principles of pharmacological correction of disorders in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis (clinical and experimental research)” protected in 1997.

The author of more then 10 books in including the national textbook “Phthysiology” Ukrainian, English and Russian, 2 teaching aids “Phthisiology”, has over 300 scientific papers and 18 methodical recommendations, 10 patents and 5 innovations of the main issues of tuberculosis and respiratory disease , a typical curriculum and training program for Master of Medicine in “phthisiology” phthisiology educational programs for students in higher institutions of III-IV accreditation and model curriculum and training programs for interns.

In 2007-2008. Created and headed the Committee on HIV / AIDS and other socially dangerous diseases. A civil servant in the fifth grade.

From 2010 to 2015 Dean of the Medical Faculty №3 Bogomolets National Medical University.

The head of the Association of TB specialists, pulmonologists and thoracic surgeons m. Kyiv, was the chief freelance specialist adult network phthisiology DHC Kyiv city in 2008-2011. A member of the editorial board of several professional medical journals, editor in chief of the journal “Tuberculosis. Pulmonary disease. HIV infection. ”

Protsiuk Radu Georgiyovych 

Professor, Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of higher qualifying category “phthisiology” and “pulmonology” deputy dean for teachers, academician of the Academy of Higher Education (AHE) Ukraine, Honored Worker of Science of Ukraine, twice the Excellent Education of Ukraine.

He graduated from Chernovtsy State Medical Institute. From 1963 to 1965 he worked as chief phthisiologists Central District Hospital Mlyniv district of Rivne region. After defending his doctoral thesis in 1968, working in Kiev Medical Institute (1995, National Medical University) named after AA Bohomolets assistant, since 1976 – associate professor, and since 2001 – Professor.

In 1987 he defended his doctoral thesis on “Aerosoltherapy patients with lung tuberculosis and effect on hemodynamic and pulmonary surfactant small circle of circulation.” In 1994, it was elected member of the Academy of Higher Education (2007 Academy of Higher Education) Ukraine. In 1996 he was awarded an academic award Yaroslav Mudryi, and in 2009 the St. Vladimir in science and technology.

Awarded “Diploma of blessing” for church services to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (2002), “Certificate of Honour” of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (2004, 2006), “Gratitude from Kyiv Mayor” (2004), twice with “Excellence in Education of Ukraine” (2004, 2006), “Certificate of Honour” of the Ministry of education and Science of Ukraine (2005-2007.) Honorary award “Grand Prince Vladimir” golden cross with ribbon (2007).

In 2006, the Government of Ukraine awarded R.G. Protsiuk honorary title “Honored Worker of Science of Ukraine.”

In 2012 he was awarded the Honorary Award of the university and in 2013 the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine awarded the diploma and the medal “Leader of Education and Science of Ukraine” for significant contribution to the development of education and science of Ukraine.

Author of 335 scientific papers, including 2 monographs, 7 textbooks, 7 curriculum for students, interns, masters in “phthisiology” 13 patents of Ukraine for utility model, 2 newsletters, 3 innovations 20 guidelines, which at one time were presented at exhibitions achieve economy of Ukraine. Prepared 5 candidates of medical sciences.

Is deputy dean for teachers, a member of the cyclic methodical commission on therapeutic disciplines Bogomolets National Medical University member of the Presidium AHE Ukraine, academician-secretary of the Department of Medicine AHE Ukraine, a member of the Specialized Academic Council of on candidate and doctoral theses at the Institute of Special Education AHE of Ukraine, member of the editorial board of several medical journals.

 

 

 

Noreiko Serhii Borisovich

Professor of the department

Born in 1962, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor. In 1986 he graduated with honors of the Donetsk State Medical Institute in the specialty “Medical Business” and was sent to scientific work at the Donetsk Research Institute of Occupational Health and Diseases.

During his work as a researcher of the Department of Occupational Pathology, a Ph.D. thesis in the specialty “Phthisiology” was prepared and defended on the subject “Condition of bronchial patency, gas exchange and physical performance in patients with pneumoconiosis and coniotuberculosis of the lungs” (1992).

Since 1992 he worked as an assistant at the Department of Internal Diseases of the  Donetsk State Medical Institute. In 2007 he defended his doctoral thesis in the specialty “Phthisiology” on the topic “Bronchial obstructive syndrome in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis”. In 2012 he was awarded the rank of associate professor.

From 2010 to 2014 he worked at the Donetsk State Institute of Health, Physical Education and Sports as a professor, Head of Department of Physiology, Physical and Psychological Rehabilitation.

At the Department of Phthisiology and Pulmonology of NMU he has been working since May 2015. The total medical experience is 33 years. Responsible for the Pulmonology Department at the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 4. Scientific and pedagogical experience is 13 years. He is the author of 149 publications, of which 146 are scientific and 3 educational and methodical in nature, including 33 scientific works have been published in specialized editions. Co-author of 6 monographs, 16 patents. The total number of links according to Scopus databases is 1, Google scholar is 140, h-index is 7, Web of Science ResearcherID AAF-2236-2019, ORCID 0000-0003-3139-5968.

In 2015-2016 he studied English at the NMU. He also received a certificate of worship. Recommended for teaching phthisiology to English-speaking students. In 2018, he received the Aptis Test Certificate in English from the British Council (Level B2).

Member of the Academic Council of the Medical Faculty №3, member of the cycle methodological committee on therapeutic disciplines, member of the specialized academic council D 26.003.08 at the Bogomolets National Medical University, a member of the editorial board of the magazine “Tuberculosis, pulmonary diseases, HIV infection”.

 

 

 

Pikas Olha Bohdanivna

Professor of the Department, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Doctor of Higher Qualifications.

She graduated from Lviv High School with a gold medal. From childhood she dreamed of becoming a doctor. In 1991, she graduated from the Pediatric Faculty of the Kyiv Medical Institute (KMI). She was recommended to the Bogomolets for scientific work. In 1991-1993 she studied in clinical residency at the Department of Phthisiology with a course in Pulmonology at the Kiev Medical Institute, after which she worked as an assistant of this department.

Since 2001 year – Associate Professor of the Department of Phthisiology with a Course in Pulmonology, from September 2014 year – Professor of the Department of Phthisiology and Pulmonology at the O. O. Bogomolets National Medical University.

In September 1998, Pikas O.B. defended her Ph.D. thesis on the topic: “Moisture-producing function and lung surfactant in patients with respiratory organs and methods of correction of their disorders” (supervisor – professor R.G. Protsyuk).

In December 2013, Pikas O.B. defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic: “Clinical-immunological and metabolic changes in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis affected by the Chernobyl accident and their correction in complex treatment” (scientific consultant – professor V.I. Petrenko).

Pikas O.B. have 292 scientific and methodological works. He is the author of 7 declarative patents of Ukraine for utility model and 5 innovations (in the direction of tuberculosis and non-specific respiratory diseases), 3 information sheets and co-author of 3 methodological recommendations.

From 1988 to 1992 years she worked as a deputy chairman of the trade union committee of students of the Kyiv Medical Institute. Member is of the Academic Council of the Medical Faculty № 3 of the O. O. Bogomolets National Medical University. Since 2017 year is part of the experts of the Clinical Expert Commission of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine in the specialty “Phthisiology”.

O.B. Pikas is a member of the editorial board of several international journals (Ukraine, Belarus, Germany, Bulgaria).

Has the highest qualification category of doctor in the specialties “Pulmonology”, “Phthisiology” and “Pediatric Phthisiology”.

In 2017 year she passed a scientific-pedagogical internship in the specialty “medical sciences” in Poland (Lublin, Poland), which is certified.

Performs medical consultative work it is.

Responsible for the scientific process of the department it is.

For significant achievements in professional activity and diligent work was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Kyiv City Mayor (2004), Acknowledgment of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (2014) and Honorary Certificate of the Academic Council of the O. O. Bogomolets National Medical University (2014, 2019).

Scientific interests: basics of methodology of educational process at the department of phthisiology and pulmonology, phthisiatry – methods and results of treatment of patients with tuberculosis; issues of ecology (consequences of the Chernobyl accident, cigarette smoking) and the relationship with the development of tuberculosis and other non-specific respiratory diseases.

 

 

 

Begoulev Oleg Evgenovych

 

Associate Professor, PhD of Medical Sciences, doctor of higher qualification of the specialty “Phthisiology”.
Graduated from the medical faculty of the Bogomolets National Medical University in 2001 with specialty “medical business”. From 2001 to 2002 studied in internship of phthisiology.

After the internship from 2002 to 2004 passed clinical internship at the Department of phthisiology of NMU, at 2005 he was appointed as assistant rank of department.

In 2007 he successfully defended PhD thesis “Long-term results of treatment of patients with newly diagnosed destructive pulmonary tuberculosis” and received the degree of PhD.
Consulting the wards of patients at the II phthysiotherapy department of antiTb dispensary N1, and consults the patient of outpatients department.
Conducts practical classes and lectures for english-language students, and hands-on sessions with 4th and 6th grade students, interns, and DPdS students.

In 2007, he received a certificate of “English-speaking teacher” and was recommended to teach foreign students of English-speaking department. Since 2007 he is in charge of the form of English-language learning.
General teaching experience is 15 years, medical experience is 20 years. Actively engaged in scientific work, performing a fragment of the scientific topic of the department.
He is the author and co-author of over 40 scientific papers, 2 patents for utility models.
He actively participated in the creation of English-language teaching and teaching materials for students of the 4th and 6th years and is a co-author of the manual for independent work of students of “Phthisiology” in Ukrainian, Russian and English.
In 2013, he received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for his considerable achievements in professional activity and diligent work.
In 2014 he was appointed as rank of associate professor.
In 2019 he received the Scientific Council Honorary Diploma for many years of honest and impeccable work, significant personal contribution to the development of education and science, high professionalism, active civic position and to the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the foundation of the Department of phthisiology and pulmonology.

 

 

 

Bondarenko Yaroslava

assistant of the department

In 2009 graduated from Lugansk State Medical University.

From 2009 to 2011 studied at the internship in a specialty «pulmonology and phthisiology». In 2011 got the qualification of master of pulmonology and phthisiology, defending with honors the master’s work on the basis of the Lugansk State medical university.

From 2011 to 2014 worked as a regional TB doctor in Lugansk region. From 2014 to 2018 worked as an assistant at the SI «Lugansk State Medical University».

Has been working as an assistant at the department of phthisiology and pulmonology of the Bogomolets NMU since 2018.

She is a co-author of 5 scientific works, 2 patents for an utility model.

Acting head teacher of the department.

Scientific interests: diagnosis of extrapulmonary tuberculosis.

 

 

 

Galan Irina Olegivna

Assistant of the department.

In 2000 graduated from Vinnitsa State Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov.

From 2001 to 2003, she studied in clinical residency at the Department of Phthisiology with a course of pulmonology at the Bogomolets National Medical University Bogomolets.

PhD thesis: “Nutritional correction of protein metabolism in patients with newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis.”

Co-author of 2 patents for a utility model (a method for treating patients with pulmonary tuberculosis, a method for treating patients with common forms of pulmonary tuberculosis), an information sheet (“Pathogenetic justification of nutritional correction of metabolic disorders in the classical treatment regimen for newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis”), author and co-author of more than 56 scientific works.

Awarded the Honorary Diploma of the Scientific Council of NMU named after O.O. Bogomolets (2014), Gratitude of the Scientific Council of NMU named after O.O. Bogomolets (2019).

 

 

 

Hrechaniuk Yuliia

Assistant

Graduated from the medical faculty №3 of the National Medical University named after O.O. Bohomolets in 2018. She took an internship at the Department of Phthisiology and Pulmonology, from 2018 to 2020, while working as a senior laboratory assistant.

In February 2018, she underwent a scientific internship in Providence, Rhode Island, USA, studying the pressing issues of modern diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis. She is the co-author of seven printed works on the problems of phthisiology and biochemistry.

Since April 2020, has been promoted to the position of assistant of the department.

 

 

Marchenko Anna Fedorivna

 

Assistant

Graduated from the Medical Faculty of Uzhgorod National University.

From 2008 till 2010 was held an internship at the Department of tuberculosis and pulmonology. From 2010 to 2012 studied in clinical residency on specialty “Phthysiology” at the Department of phthisiology and pulmonology Bogomolets      National Medical University. From 2012 to 2015 studied in graduate school full-time at the department of tuberculosis, participate in scientific conferences, congresses and symposia.

Marchenko G.F. is working on the completion of dissertation “status of liver function and methods of its correction in patients with newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis combined with HIV infection and viral hepatitis B and C”.

Has over 30 scientific papers in national and international journals, including abstracts of congresses and conferences for students and young scientists.

 

 

 

Stopoliansky Alexander

Assistant Professor, Department of Phthisiology and Pulmonology

Alexander Stopoliansky graduated from National Medical University O.O. Bogomolets in 2001

Clinical residency in phthisiology in 2002 – 2004

Dissertation topic: “Tuberculosis of the central nervous system in patients with TB / HIV co-infection.”

Scientific interests: co-infection tuberculosis / HIV, extrapulmonary tuberculosis, tuberculosis of the central nervous system. Author of 45 publications, methodical recommendations – 2, inventions – 1 (2013).

Responsible for the operation of ACS.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Malinovska Tatyana Valentynivna

Senior assistant.

Graduated from Shevchenko Kyiv University, Faculty of Biology.

Is working at the Department of Pulmonology of the Bogomolets National Medical University since 2000.

Performs a lot of work with immunological and biochemical studies of patients with tuberculosis. Actively involved in scientific research department with the rate of tuberculosis pulmonology. Co-author of 15 scientific articles.

In 1998 passed specialization in Clinical Immunology.

The total length of 39 years laboratory experience – 25 years.

There are trade-union department, responsible for laboratory research, according to scientific projects of the department.

 

 

Borshchevska Lyudmyla Dmytrivna

Laboratory assistant.

In 1971 graduated from high school and enrolled in Sumy Trade and Economics College, at the end, worked in the trade.

The department has a laboratory from 1987 to the present.
