Student’ scientific society

Since the creation of the endocrinology course (1978), and soon the department (1994), a student scientific circle has been working. The first members of  Student’ scientific society today are already scientists and work at the endocrinology department of the university, research and medical institutions of the city. Among the latter, it is necessary to note D.V. Kiriyenko, who was a member of  Student’ scientific society, a clinical resident of the department, defended his candidate’s thesis on the use of intravenous laser irradiation of blood in the treatment of disorders of autonomic innervation of the heart in patients with diabetes. For more than 30 years, he has been the head of the general endocrine pathology department of the Kyiv City Clinical Endocrinological Center. V. O. Serdyuk acquired scientific work skills in the Student’ scientific society. She was fascinated by the problem of ultrasound diagnostics of endocrine patients, her fascination turned into an in-depth study of the ultrasound semiotics of the state of the liver in diabetes depending on the state of compensation of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. Defended PhD dissertation on this topic. Victoria Oleksandrivna headed the diagnostics department of the Kyiv City Clinical Endocrinology Center. Associate professors of the department

12-18 students work permanently in the Student’ scientific society of the department. A section on endocrinology works at annual scientific conferences of the University. The works of the faculty members are presented at Ukrainian and International scientific meetings.

Members of the group won prizes at the All-Ukrainian Olympiads in endocrinology.

The Student’ scientific society of the Department of Endocrinology is managed by Associate Professor Maryna Ivanivna Bobryk (mobile number 0674457875). The meeting of the circle is considered every third Wednesday of the month from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the classrooms of the department on the street Pushkinska 22a.

 

The main topics of scientific research in the Student’ scientific society:

  1. Study of chronic vascular complications of diabetes (nephropathy, angiopathy of limbs, retina) and diabetic neuropathy;
  2. Differential diagnosis of hyperprolactinemia;
  3. Differential diagnosis, correction of hyper- and hypothyroidism with an atypical course;
  4. Diagnosis of vitamin D3 deficiency and conditions associated with it. Correction of D-deficiency, personalized algorithms.
