Graboviy Olexandr – Head of the Department.

In 1986 he graduated with honors from the First Medical Faculty of the Kiev Medical Institute and was recommended for scientific work by the Academic Council of the Faculty. From December 1, 1986 to November 31, 1989 is a post-graduate student of the Department of Histology of KMI. In October 1989 he defended his PhD thesis “Healing and innervation of skin wounds in old age”. After graduation until December 1996 he worked as an assistant at the Department of Histology and Embryology of NMU.

1996-1999 – doctoral student at the Department of Histology and Embryology.

1995-1997 – Fellow of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for Young Scientists.

1992-1999 – responsible performer of research work performed at the Department of Histology. 1994-1999 – responsible for research work at the Department of Histology and Embryology.

2000-2008 – Scientific Secretary of the Specialized Scientific Council D26.003.06 at the OO Bogomolets National Medical University

In 2000 he defended his doctoral thesis “Effect of acetylcholine, norepinephrine and their antagonists on the post-traumatic regeneration of the skin and peripheral nerve”.

In 2001 he was elected to the post of associate professor of the department of histology, cytology and embryology of NMU, and in 2002 was awarded the academic title of associate professor. In 2003 he was appointed Professor of the Department of Histology and Embryology after being selected for the competition, in 2004 he was awarded the title of Professor.

2004 – Head of the NDLC, 2007 – after the reorganization of the NDC at the Institute of Pathology Problems in 2007 – Director of the STI. Since 2008 – Head of the Laboratory of Histology, Developmental Biology and Toxicology of STIs. He initiated licensing of the Institute of Pathology of NMU in specialty pathological anatomy (December 2007) and organized clinical pathohistological researches on the basis of STI NMU (2008).

From 16.12.2008 he headed the research department of pathological anatomy of the National Cancer Institute.

From November 19, 2018 – Professor of the Department of Histology and Embryology of the Bogomolets National University of NMU.

Main directions of scientific work: plastic properties of connective tissues; reactive properties of nervous tissue; histological technique; experimental modeling; histological verification of neoplasms; determination of malignant potential of tumors according to multivariate morphological analysis (morphometry, histochemistry, immunohistochemistry); study of subpopulation cellular composition of tumors.

Sokurenko M. Ludmila, MD (2010), Professor (2016), Master of Public Administration of Healthcare (2011) – professor of Histology and Embryology department. Topic of doctoral theses is “Structural changes of nervous system organs under conditions of micromercurialism”.

Graduated from Bogomolets National Medical University in 1998 and was assigned to the Department of Histology and Embryology.

In 2008, she graduated from Computer Academy “Step” for specialty Computer Graphics Design and Internet Technology.

Attended the career enhancement training “Mathematical methods of information processing” at the Shupyk NMAPE, graduated from Bogomolets National Medical University Teachers Course of English.

In 2011, she graduated with honors from the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, for specialty «Public Administration of Healthcare”, received a Certificate of Fluency in English. She is certified by the APTIS International Exam Certificate issued by the British Council in English at B2 level.

She is superviser for 2 PhD student and one PhD student theses are completed. She has experience of work as a trade union leader in the department from 1999 to 2020; has been responsible for the scientific work of the department from 2010-2020. Has more than 250 printed works, of which 11 patents and 92 articles, of which 25 are articles in the Scopus database, Hirsch Index in this database – 5, Google Scholar – 6. Sokurenko L.M. is a co-author of educational and textbooks in Ukrainian and in English.
Sokurenko L.M. is a representative of the Ukrainian AGET Society in the European Morphology Society (EFEM) and the International Federation of Anatomy Societies (IFAA). Academician of the International Academy of Integrative Anthropology, Actual Member of the Association of Preventive and Anti-Aging Medicine, Member of the Approbation Councils and Specialized Scientific Council for Morphology, Member of the “European Society for the Study of Peripheral Nerve Repair and Regeneration”. Member of the Ukraine Education and Science Ministry Expert Council for Theses Expertise in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences since 2014. Member of the Editorial Board of the Ukrainian Scientific and Medical Youth Journal and the Bulletin of Morphology. Actively and creatively participates in the research work of students-members of the student scientific group of the department.

 

 

 

Lilia Mikhailivna Yaremenko – the Professor of the Department. Graduated from Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University. Author of more than 120 scientific works.

In 2010, she defended her thesis on “The state of the immune system in rats in the modeling of vascular lesions of the brain of varying severity and its correction”, received a scientific degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences.

In 2019, she defended her dissertation for a doctorate in medical sciences on “Changes in cerebral cortex under conditions of ischemia and immunocorrection modeling (immunohistochemical study)”.

The basic scientific directions of work are research of immune and nervous systems.

She has been working at the Department of Histology and Embryology since September 1, 2010.

She is the author of 120 scientific works. Of these, 8 are patents and 8 manuals.

Bidna Larysa Pavlivna – Associate Professor, Candidate of Biological Sciences. She graduated from Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State University with a degree in Cytologist, Histologist and Embryologist. She worked as a junior researcher at the Kiev Institute of Otolaryngology named after AS. Kolomiychenko. After post-graduate school in Cell Biology at Bogomolets` National Medical University defended her PhD thesis “Morphofunctional studies of male gametes after gamma irradiation over a wide range of doses and antioxidant actions”. She mastered a complex of modern methods of studying developmental biology, morphocytochemical and electron microscopic studies. She worked as an assistant (1994-2003) and associate professor (2003 – present) of the Histology and Embryology Department of the Bogomolets` National Medical University. She is author and co-author of 66 scientific papers. Head of the trade union bureau of the medical faculty №1, member of the trade union committee of the NMU staff. For the high professional skill of L.P. Bidna was awarded the Certificates of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (2005, 2010) and awarded the Certificates of Honor of the Kyiv City Mayor (2002, 2007). Certificate of Profession of the Professional Union of Healthcare Workers (2016), Certificate of Honor of the Professional Union of Ukraine (2019).

 

 

 

 

Demydchuk Anastasiia– associate professor, candidate of medical sciences. In 2007 she graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the faculty of Biology with a degree in Cytology, Histology.

From 2007 to 2010 she worked as a senior laboratory assistant at the department of Histology and Embryology, since 2010 she worked as an Assistant Professor. In 2011 Anastasiia defended a dissertation on the Regeneration of the peripheral nerve on condition of using neuropeptsdes application (experimentally morphological research) and received a Ph.D. in medical sciences. Since 2014 she was an Associate Professor. Shi is responsible for the academic work of the department. She is engaged in research work.   Anastasiia  is the author of 34 scientific papers, 7 manuals, she has 3 patents. In October 2019 she has completed the postgraduate internship “New and innovative teaching methods in medicine” in Medical University of Lublin.

Scientific interests: study of the effect of multipotent stem cells on the regeneration of the peripheral nerve.

 

 

 

Kozak Anna Ivanovna – Associate Professor, PhD, graduated from Kyiv Medical Institute in 1983.

PhD thesis: “Ultrastructural characteristics of lungs and heart in experimental hypertension in the small circulatory system and its pharmacological correction”

Number of publications -52, that include 1 guide, guidlines -7, 1 – utility model patent.

2009 – 2016 Acting Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine № 4. Now she is responsible for the success of the medical faculty №4 at the department. She is responsible for safety at the department.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kondaurova Anna Yurievna – Associate Professor of the Department, PhD (medical sciences). She graduated from Lugansk State Medical University, specialty “Medicine” and qualified as a medical doctor. She graduated an internship in the specialty “Therapy” at the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. In 2008 she defended her PhD thesis on “Structural and functional features of the gastric mucosa in the administration of bisphosphonates in combination with hydrocortisone” (specialty: 14.03.09 – histology, cytology and embryology). Use to work at the Department of Medical Biology of Luhansk State Medical University. Since September 1, 2018 she has been working as associate professor of the Department of Histology and Embryology of the O.O. Bogomolets. RITIKOVA Natalia Vladimirovna, Associate Professor.

Graduated from the Faculty of Biology of the KSPI in 1978

Since 1981. worked at the Department of Pediatric Surgery at the International Pediatric Surgery Department as a senior laboratory assistant. Was a search engine.

Topic of the thesis “Morphofunctional Characterization of the Colon in Children with Hirschsprung’s Disease”. Defended in 1992.

Has more than 40 publications.

Co-author of 16 guidelines

He gives a full course of lectures and conducts practical classes, including for students with English language training.

Worked as the Deputy Dean of the III Medical Faculty from 2000 to 2006.

Curator of work with the medical faculty №1.

Secretary of the Commission for Admission of Candidate Exams at the Department.

For high professional skill he was awarded the Certificates of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and awarded the Certificates of Honor of the Kyiv Mayor.

 

 

 

Serhii Ivanovych Savosko – associate professor of the department, PhD (biological science).

He graduated cum laude from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 2011, the Faculty of Biology, department of Cytology, Histology and Embryology. He qualified as a biologist, cytologist, histologist, embryologist, research associate (biology) and teacher in institutions of higher education. Since 2011, he has been employed as a senior laboratory technician (histotechnician) at the Department of Histology and Embryology. In 2014, he defended dissertation (candidate of biological sciences) on the topic: “Morphological changes in the cerebral cortex during simulation of acute cerebral stroke and pharmacocorrection”. Since 2014, he has been working as an assistant, and since December 2018, an associate professor of the department. In 2019, he was awarded the Medal of St. Panteleimon in nomination «For scientific developments in medicine». In 2020, he completed advanced training at the Medical University of Lublin in the field of “New and innovative teaching methods in medicine”. In 2021, he completed specialization at the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine in the field of “Laboratory Genetics”. He participate in research and methodical work of the department, responsible for the scientific work of the department and the student scientific circle of the department. He is the co-author of more than 60 scientific publications, including 35 in the Scopus citation database (h-index 3), 5 utility model and 1 information letter. Field of scientific interests: morphofunctional changes of the nervous system during traumatic and ischemic damage.

 

 

 

Khlamanov Lidiya Ivanovna Associate Professor.

Education – Donetsk State University, Faculty of Biology (1975)

Thesis of Cand. biol. N. (1989): “Morphofunctional features of respiratory organs and their nerve elements at different ages during normal and under the action of hyperbaric oxygenation”

Current scientific interests – medical education; teaching methods and history of morphological sciences in Ukraine.

He is the author of 203 scientific publications, of which 78 are devoted to the methodological aspects of teaching histology. Co-author of several guidelines.

Social activity – a longtime member of the trade union committee of universities. Awarded with the thanks of the Ministry of Health and the university

 

 

 

Shobat Larisa Borisovna – Associate Professor, Candidate of Medical Sciences. Graduated from Taras Shevchenko State University of Kyiv in 1980. Since 1985 works at Bogomolets National Medical University. She defended her PhD dissertation on “Morphology and reactive changes in spinal cord motoneurons in the conditions of sciatic nerve auto- and allografting” in 2004. Qualified lectures at the faculties of medicine as well as the faculty of dentistry. Takes part in educational and methodological work of the department, preparation of methodical development of practical classes, creation of tests, questions of program control of students’ knowledge, research work of the department. She studied cholesterol and ubiquinone metabolism, as well as reactive changes in spinal cord motoneurons. Has 62 printed works. There are jobs in Scopus and Web of Science. The person responsible for the department and the registration plate. From 1989 to 2010 she worked as the secretary of the state examination commission of the department. She works as an examiner for entrance examinations at NMU. She is a member of Ukrainian scientific Society of Anatomists, Histologists, Embryologists. For her fruitful pedagogical activity she was awarded with the Thanks of the Mayor of Kyiv.

 

 

 

 

Shamalo Svitlana Mykolayivna – associate professor, candidate of medical sciences. In 2007 she graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the faculty of Biology with a degree in Cytology, Histology.

From 2007 to 2010 she worked as a senior laboratory assistant at the department of Histology and Embryology, since 2010 she worked as an Assistant Professor. In 2011 Svitlana  defended a dissertation on the Regeneration of the peripheral nerve in the context of micromercurialism and its correction and received a Ph.D. in medical sciences. Since 2014 she was an Associate Professor. Svitlana Shamalo is responsible for ECTS of the medical faculty №3. She is a member of the Board of experts of  Bogomolets National Medical University of the medical faculty №3 on the reinstatement of students. She is engaged in research work. Svitlana is the author of 34 scientific papers, 7 manuals, she has 3 patents. In October 2019 she has completed the postgraduate internship “New and innovative teaching methods in medicine” in Medical University of Lublin.

Shcherbak Larisa – associate professor of the department. Graduated from the Kyiv Medical Institute named after Acad. OO Bogomolets in 1976. She started her biography at the Department of Pathological Physiology, where in 1981. defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences on the topic: “The effect of cold on the activity of redox enzymes in denervated muscles of rats and gophers.” Since 1983. worked as an assistant at the Department of Histology and Embryology, and since 1993. – Associate Professor of the same department. He has about 50 scientific papers. For the last 15 years he has been performing the duties of pro-forma medical faculty № 3. For her significant personal contribution to the development of health care and high professionalism, she was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Acknowledgment of the Kyiv City Administration.

 

 

 

Chukhrai Svitlana Mykolaivna – associate professor, candidate of medical sciences.

In 2006 she graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv the faculty of biology witch a degree in Biology-Microbiology.

From 2005 to 2011 she worked as a junior researcher of the Laboratory of Electron Microscopy at the Institute of Pathology Problems, based at the Bogomolets National Medical University.

In 2011 Svitlana Chukhrai defended her dissertation on the topic: “Ultrastructure of blood capillaries of rats with arterial hypertension of different genesis in age aspect and the possibility of its pharmacological correction” and received a diploma of candidate of medical sciences.

Since 2011 she combines scientific and teaching activities at the Department of Histology and Embryology.

In 2019 she completed the postgraduate internship “New and innovative teaching methods in medicine” in Lublin, Poland.

Svitlana Chukhrai is the author of 56 scientific papers and has 7 patents.

She is responsible for ECTS at the Faculty of Dentistry.

Svitlana Chukhrai is the current member of the «Morphology» board.

 

 

 

Buzynska Nataliya Oleksandrivna – Assistant of the Department, PhD in Biology.

In 1985, she graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 1994, she completed her postgraduate studies at the Department of Cytology, Histology and Development Biology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and passed her PhD defense on the topic: “Role of catecholamines, indolamines and brain nonapeptides in hypothalamic testicle control mechanisms”.

Since 1997 she continued her research work as Senior Assistant of University Laboratory at Institute of Biology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Since 1998, she worked as Assistant Scientist of the Department of Cytology, Histology and Development Biology, and in 2000, she was assigned as Research Professor of the same department. During her scientific workflows she has been holding also practical classes with students.

Since September 12, 2016 she has been working as assistant of the Department of Histology and Embryology of O. O. Bohomolets National Medical University.

Buzynska is a co-author of 5 textbooks and one handbook approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, has 52 printed works, of which 38 articles and 14 theses. She possesses also using surgical (has developed the epiphysectomia method by birds), histologic, immunological, statistical methods and techniques.

 

 

 

Dymar Nataliia – Assistant of the Department.

In 2004, she graduated with honors from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Faculty of Biology, department of Human and Animals Physiology (qualification: Biologist. Teacher of biology and chemistry).

Level of English proficiency – C1 (Certificate in Advanced English of Cambridge Assessment English Exam preparation Centre).

She is the author and co-author of 56 scientific publications, including 2 of them indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science database. h-index according to Google Scholar is “2”.

Scientific interests: Functional Histology, Neurohistology, improving teaching in disciplines of natural science.

 

 

 

Zheleznyak Anna – assistant of the department. Graduated in 1978 from the Faculty of Biology, Kyiv National University. T.G. She obtained the qualification of biologist, cytologist, histologist, embryologist, teacher of biology and chemistry. The first professional steps were taken at the research institutes: Otolaryngology (Department of Pathomorphology) and the Kiev Institute for the Advancement of Doctors (Department of Hematology). During these years she gained practical experience in the production of histological preparations, cytological methods for the study of peripheral blood and bone marrow, the calculation of the blood formula and myelograms. As a junior researcher, she worked at the Institute of General and Communal Hygiene. A.N. Marseev and the Institute of Radiation Medicine, which investigated the features of immunological and cytochemical reactions of blood cells and isolated nerve cells under the influence of the electromagnetic field of the microwave range and other physicochemical factors. Co-author of 7 scientific articles, 2 innovative proposals and 1 inventor certificate. Since 2003 – Lecturer in Medical Biology, Histology, Cytology and Embryology at the Institute of Ecology and Medicine and then Assistant Professor at the Kyiv Medical University. Author of the popular science book on histology and embryology “The fairy tale kingdom of the sexual system”. From 2018 – Assistant Professor, Department of Histology and Embryology, National Medical University.

 

 

 

Kuts Halyna AnatoliivnaAssistant.

In 1979 graduated from Kyiv Medical Institute.

In 1990 defended thesis for the Degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences in the specialty “Diseases of the ear, nose and throat”.

Thesis: “Functional status of the middle ear sound-conducting apparatus of workers with noisy jobs”.

She has been working at the department since 1994.

Halyna participated in preparation of the licensing texts of the Step 1 examination for all faculties. Besides, she is the author of 29 scientific and methodological works.

She has scientific interests within the problems related to sensory organs.

 

 

 

Nevmerzhytska Nataliia Mykolaivna – teaching assistant.

In 2004, she graduated from the medical faculty of Odesa State Medical University

From 2004 to 2005 she took an internship for specialized “Neurology” at the Neurology Department №2 of the  P.L.Shupik National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education.

From 2005 to 2007, she completed a clinical residency at the Neurology Department No. 2 of the P.L.   Shupik National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education .

From 2007 to 2017, she worked as a neuropathologist at the neurological department of Kyiv City Clinical hospital №12. Has the highest qualification category in the specialty “Neurology”.

From 2017 to 2020, she has worked as an teaching assistant at the Department of Human Anatomy at Bogomolets National Medical University.

Since 2018, she has held the ECTS curator position in the Dean’s Office of the Medical Faculty №1.

Since 2020, she has been working at the Histology and  Embriology Department. She teaches histology and embryology to 1st and 2nd year students in Ukrainian and English. Has taken part in 7 international conferences and 9 all-Ukrainian conferences with international participation for 2 last years.

Has 33 scientific publications, including 2 of them indexed in the Scopus database. h-index according to Google Scholar “2”. Scopus  h-index “1”.

Sytnik Alexey Ivanovich, 1976 year of birth. He graduated from the Faculty of Biology at the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University in 1999.

From 1998 to 1999 he studied at the Magistracy at the Department of Zoology at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

From 1999 to 2002 he studied in graduate school at the Department of Zoology at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

In 2005 he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Biological Sciences (PhD); on the topic: “Structure of populations of true lizards (Lacertidae) in the conditions of the central forest-steppe of Ukraine”.

Since 2003 he has worked as an assistant and associated professor at the National University of Food Technologies. From 2009 to 2016 – as a senior lecturer and associate professor at the National Technical University of Ukraine “KPI”. From 2018 – Assistant Professor, Department of Histology and Embryology, NMU.

As active participant he received Diplomas of 4 International exhibitions “LABCompLEX: Analytics, Laboratory, Biotechnology, HI-TECH”. Other awards include diplomas from the All-Ukrainian Environmental League and other environmental organizations, certificates from the Rectors of SPbNTU, NUFT and NTUU “KPI”, scientific competitions, student scientific organizations, etc.

He is a specialist biologist as well as a biosafety expert of the expert boards of the international public organization “National Association for Genetic Safety” and the All-Ukrainian Environmental League.  Also, he is a member of the International Herpetological Society named after A.M.  Nikolsky RAS, the Ukrainian Herpetological Society of NAS of Ukraine and the Society for the Protection and Study of Birds of Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University.

He is a co-author of 1 textbook, 2 monographs, 67 scientific papers.  Hirsch Index (Google Scholar) – 3.

 

 

 

Mekhraliieva Anzhela Volodymyrivna – Senior Laboratory Assistant. She was graduated from Dnepropetrovsk basic medical school in 1987 and received a specialty of doctor’s assistant (paramedic). Since 2015 he has been working at the Bogomolets National Medical University. The is a Category 3 technician, co-executor of the planned scientific topics. From 2019 she was transferred to the position of Senior Laboratory Assistant in the Department of Histology and Embryology.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ostrovskaya Ludmila – Senior Laboratory Assistant. She graduated from the Faculty of Biology at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kiev in 1980 and obtained the qualification of biologist, cytologist, histologist, embryologist, research associate (biology), teacher of higher educational institution. From 1980 to 1992 she worked at the Department of Surgical Surgery and, later, at the Department of Gerontology at the Kyiv Shupyk Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. Since 1992 she has been promoted to the position of Senior Laboratory Assistant at the Department of Histology and Embryology of the OO National Medical University. The secretary of the department keeps records of the pedagogical load, keeps a journal of mutual visit of the teachers of the department.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alona Kuraieva, PhD student of the department.

Alona Kuraieva graduated with honors from the Medical Faculty №1 of Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy in 2005. In 2020 she entered a graduate school at the Department of Histology and Embryology of Bogomolets National Medical University. Currently she is working on a PhD thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) on the topic: “Structural changes in the nervous system after hemorrhagic stroke and stimulation of recovery processes (experimental study).”

She graduated from the medical faculty № 2 of the National Medical University named after O.O. Bogomolets in 2014. In 2022, she entered a graduate school at the Department of Histology and Embryology of Bogomolets National Medical University. Currently she is working on a PhD thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) on the topic: “Morphological and biochemical changes in the liver of rats under the conditions of exposure to the venom of snakes of the species Vipera berus”.  Academic supervisors: Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor L.M.
