The main areas of the group’s work: congenital malformations of the maxillofacial area in children, inflammatory processes of tissues of the maxillofacial site in children, traumatic damage to the maxillofacial area in children, tumors and tumor-like tissue formations of the maxillofacial area in children.
Cooperation with groups of departments of otorhinolaryngology, pediatric therapeutic dentistry and prevention of dental diseases.

On December 24, 2020, the final meeting of the student scientific group of the Department of Surgical Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery of Childhood took place, which summarizes the work of the CIS and presented to the clubs awards for participation and prize places in the conference “Annual Yong Medical Scientist`s Conference 2020”. In the section “ Dentistry” of the 11 reports – 6 were made by members of the SNG Department of Surgical Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery of Childhood.
The winners were:
1st place – Kirienko Yuri, a student of the V course of the Faculty of Dentistry.
2nd place – Carpenko Dmitry, a student of the III year of the Faculty of Dentistry
3rd place – Vyspinski Yaroslav, intern doctor 1 year of study
Kuzmenko Alina – student of the II course of the pediatric faculty, Grinova Angelica – student of the V course of the dental faculty, Ododuk Victoria – intern doctor 2 years of study – awarded certificates of participants. The department was highly praised and awarded for its significant contribution to the development of researchers.
December 12, 2020 in the city. Samarkand The Republic of Uzbekistan hosted the International Online Medical Student Olympiad “ Samarkand-2020”, which was attended by more than 300 participants from universities in various parts of Europe and the Middle East. One of the representatives of the National Medical University. OO Bogomoltsia was a student of the V course of the Faculty of Dentistry Kirienko Yuri. Department of Surgical Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery of Childhood to participate in the section “Surgical Dentistry ”. According to the results of three rounds, Kirienko Yuri won an honorary third place.
