SOLEMNITIES OF OCCASION OF ANNIVERSARY FOR LIBERATION OF UKRAINE AND KYIV FROM FASCIST INVADERS

The solemnities on occasion of the 71st anniversary for liberation of Ukraine and the 72nd anniversary for liberation of Kyiv from fascist invaders took place on 3, November, 2015 at University. The rector of University, corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine, professor K.M. Amosova congratulated the present people and thanked the veterans that the today’s generation has the happiness to live in the independent Ukraine.

The Chairman in Board of veterans of University V.F. Moshliak made the welcome speech and emphasized that over 70 years passed after the last soldier of Wehrmacht left our land. Vasyl Feoktystovych thanked for respect and attention, which the University pays to veterans, and the youth that remember the heroes from the past and present days.

This is the day of meeting for veterans, which they have been looking for every year, the day of memories and cherished memory about their battle brothers-in-arms. The veterans together with present people at solemnities put the flowers to the memorial monument to teachers and students of University, who perished during the Great Patriotic War and to the memorial plaque to Heroes of Nebesna Sotnya.

Further the concert program by students and lyceum pupils was presented to veterans in the calm chamber hall of university canteen, where there was the classical music, the pairs dance in Vienna waltz, and the favorite songs from war time were performed by all participants in holiday meeting.
