THE REGULAR MEETING WITHIN THE PROGRAM OF CONTINUING SCIENTIFIC EDUCATION FOR MEMBERS IN O.A. KYSIL SSS AND YOUNG SCIENTISTS OF UNIVERSITY

The third meeting of students and young scientists within scientific educational cycle “Scientific research: from A to Z”, where the topic “Mistakes in statistical researches: characteristics, calculation, assessment, ways of prevention and methods of their minimization”, was held on 7, February, 2018 at department of social medicine and public health.

The event was performed according to the order of O.O. Bogomolets NMU No 692, dd. 10.11.2017 “About organization of continuing scientific education for members in O.A. Kysil Students’ Scientific Society and young scientists of university”.

The issue about appearance of mistakes during performance of medical biological researches was considered during report and presentation, presented by assistant professor at department Nataliia Hrechyshkina. The lecturer paid attention to the possibility to make the mistakes during all stages in research from formation of research groups to presentation of final results. The ways for prevention of such mistakes, as well as minimization of consequences from the mistakes, which have already arisen, were emphasized to the audience. The necessity in choice of adequate and correct methods for processing of received results in order to prevent and to reduce the consequences from systematic mistakes were described. The examples for possible mistakes during different stages in performance of research were provided and the recommendations for their prevention were given. While discussing the material, the answers to questions of the audience were given, the gratitude to the address of lecturer was received.
