II STAGE OF ALL-UKRAINIAN STUDENTS’ OLYMPIAD IN DISCIPLINE “HISTOLOGY, CYTOLOGY, EMBRYOLOGY”
II stage of all-Ukrainian students’ Olympiad in discipline “histology, cytology, embryology” was held on 23-24, April, 2015 at O.O. Bohomolets National medical university at department of histology and embryology.
36 best students from different regions of Ukraine, who represented Kyiv, Kharkiv, Chernivtsi, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Sumy, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Ternopil, Odessa and Zaporizhe, took part in the Olympiad.
The composition of jury included professors and assistant professors from Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Kharkiv, Zaporizhe and Sumy.
At the solemn opening the chairman in organizing committee on performance of II stage of Olympiad at O.O. Bohomolets NMU, corresponding member in NAMS of Ukraine, professor Yu.B. Chaykovskyy read the lecture on history of department of histology and embryology at O.O. Bohomolets NMU.
4 students in the hot contest won the prize places: the diploma of the first degree was awarded to the student of O.O. Bohomolets National medical university Puzanov Anton Oleksiyovych (2nd course, medical faculty No 2, group 12). The diploma of the second degree was awarded to the student of Kharkiv national medical university Chepeliuk Oleksander Oleksandrovych. The diploma of the third degree was awarded to the student of the 2nd course – Chesanovskyy Vadym Stanislavovych (Ivano-Frankivsk national medical university), Gychak Pavlo Oleksandrovych (HSS of Ukraine “Ukrainian medical dental academy”).
The cleverest teams of students from different higher medical schools of Ukraine were defined at the Olympiad. The students from O.O. Bohomolets National medical university, Zaporizhe state medical university and HSS of Ukraine “Ukrainian medical dental academy” received the 1st team place, the teams of students from Ivano-Frankivsk national medical university, Sumy state university, Kharkiv national medical university – 2nd place, SE “Dnipropetrovsk medical academy at MHC of Ukraine”, Odessa national medical university and M.I. Pyrogov Vinnytsia national medical university – 3rd place.
The polling was held in order to study the future directions in activity of participants, as well as to improve the organization of Olympiad next year.
The participants in the Olympiad could attend the bus excursion in the central part of Kyiv, as well as visited the museum of medicine and Academician O.V. Fomin Botanical garden. In general the Olympic competitions were held in sincere and friendly atmosphere.
