EDUCATIONAL WORK BY O.A. KYSIL SSS AMONG SCHOOLCHILDREN

During April, 2016 the Council and the active group of O.A. Kysil Students’ scientific society at O.O. Bohomolets NMU performed the active learning educational activity among pupils in schools, gymnasiums and lyceums in c. Kyiv.

At the first state of activity, within the Seminar, devoted to World Health Day 2016, the students from O.A. Kysil SSS performed the cycle of lectures about main concepts and ways for prevention from diabetes mellitus for pupils of the 9^thforms at Ukrainian medical lyceum at O.O. Bohomolets NMU and mini lectures for pupils of the 5^th-10^th forms in medical gymnasium No 33 in c. Kyiv. The children learnt about main risk factors, symptoms and ways for prevention of diabetes mellitus, as well as received the answers for all questions about dangerous non-infectious disease.

The active group from O.A. Kysil SSS also took part in all-Ukrainian Children’s and youth military patriotic game “Sokil” (“Jura”). During the game Inessa Tiunova and Galyna Reznichenko performed the competition in rendering the emergency medical aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The theoretical knowledge at schoolchildren and practical skills were assessed due to the rules of the game.

Reference: All-Ukrainian children and youth military patriotic game “Sokil” (“Jura”) was launched in 2003. The participants in the game are the pupils from 7 to 18 years old, who study at schools, out-of-school and occupational technical educational establishments. The purpose of the game is to bring up the young patriots of Ukraine due to the principles of national dignity and active public position, as well as the promotion of healthy life style. The game is held in three stages, during which the participants compete in the following nominations: military tactical and medical training, competitions and quizzes in history of Ukraine, tourist relay races. The final stage of the game is held at all-Ukrainian level.
