THIRD CYCLE OF COURSE OF EMERGENCY PRE-HOSPITAL MEDICAL AID

The final seminar in the third cycle of “Course of emergency pre-hospital medical aid”, which was organized by Council at Society of young scientists and specialists together with departments of O.O. Bohomolets NMU, was held on 25, April, 2015.

The topic of last seminar in the course was extremely urgent: “Traumas and their kinds. Bleeding. First aid.” The class was held in lecture hall at department of traumatology and orthopedics on the base of SE “Institute of traumatology and orthopedics at NAMS of Ukraine”.

Professor O.A. Buryanov in his lecture “Gunshot and mine-blast traumas” described the main concepts of traumatic wounds and told about main mistakes at incorrect rendering the medical aid. The class was continued by master class (speaker V.B. Mazevych), which included the theoretical material and drill of practical skills in transport mobilization at wounds in the extremities and spine, arrest of bleeding under field conditions and during evacuation stages, principles for laying the constrictors, hemostatic bandages and immobilization at gunshot damages of locomotor system, application of external fixation devices.

The trainers – employees of department of orthopedics and traumatology: professor V.P. Kvasha, Candidate of Medicine, V.S. Chornyy, V.V. Lykhodiy, Yu.L. Sobolevskyy perfected the practical skills with participants.
