PARTICIPATION OF SPECIALISTS FROM NMU IN NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ISSUES OF STRUGGLE AGAINST HIV/AIDS

The National conference “With face to challenge: future reforms in sector of HIV and health care in Ukraine”, was held on 25-26, May, 2016 in Ukraine, its organizers were MHC of Ukraine, USAID project “Reform of HIV services in effect”.

The program of the conference anticipated the discussion of a wide range of problems: challenges and consequences from HIV epidemics, strategies for financing of health care, staff planning in health care, including in sector of HIV, role of regions in piloting the new approaches of contraction, model of stable rendering the services.

The conference was opened by acting Minister of health care of Ukraine Viktor Shafranskyy, people’s deputy of Ukraine, chairman in Committee of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on health care issues Olga Bogomolets, director in mission of United States Agency for International Development in Ukraine Susan Fritz, USAID coordinator in Ukraine Yatsek Tyshko, chairman in Coordination council of all-Ukrainian network of PLHIV Dmytro Sherembey.

The work of the conference included the reports, panel discussions, questions and answers.

The head at department of epidemiology, professor Iryna Kolesnikova, head at department of health care organization and social medicine, professor Tetiana Gruzeva and professor at department Liudmyla Galiyenko, director in UTCCM, assistant professor Olga Vysotska took part in the event on behalf of O.O. Bohomolets National medical university.

Iryna Kolesnikova during the panel discussion made the speech “Forming the national system of public health” on issues of staff training for public health.

The recommendations, directed to improve the issues on struggle against HIV/AIDS, were approved due to results from the work of the conference.
