THE UNIVERSITY PURCHASED THE LICENSING STATISTICAL PROGRAM

The guaranty for efficient assessment of results from scientific research works (SRW) is the application of special software for statistical analysis of data. The use of licensing programs is a very important aspect in activity of scientific establishments that influences on their image and is the generally accepted world standard and element of academic honesty that also concerns the statistical software.

In order to establish the conditions for efficient analysis of data in SRW, the scientific research unit of NMU performed the measures on determination of statistical program, being optimal for the needs of scientists at university. The performed analysis showed that IBM SPSS Statistics software has the necessary analytical characteristics and conditions of license. This software is a powerful analytical tool that has different parameters for statistical analysis of data, graphical visualization of results and user friendly interface. The administration of NMU allocated the money for purchase of IBM SPSS Statistics Base v.22 that supports the academic timeless license. The program will be installed until beginning of autumn semester in 2016 on the base of computer center of university library and all scientists of NMU will be granted with the access.
