CONSTITUTIVE MEETING OF NATIONAL DOCTORS’ BOARD
On November 23, 2015 the conference hall of the O.O. Bohomolets National Medical University hosted the Constitutive meeting of the National coordination board of doctors’ associations and companies of Ukraine. The National doctors’ board is aimed at approval of the professional autonomy of doctors and implementation of the doctors’ autonomy as the basis for their profession.
The participants of the meeting (representatives of over 50 doctors’ associations and companies of Ukraine) supported the initiative of the formation of the National Doctors Council as a coordination body and platform for cooperation of all the doctors.
In his report MP Oleh Musiy, President of the All-Ukrainian Doctors’ Association, stressed that the Ukrainian healthcare system undergoing democratic transformations needed autonomous doctors’ organization established on the principles of autonomy of professional activities.
According to the world experience, professional and the public play the key role in effective management. The doctors’ autonomy takes the leading role among the professional institutions.
According to Rector Kateryna Amosova, .O. Bohomolets National Medical University, the University is interested in formation of the public platform contributing to the increase of the efficiency of the management of the national medicine, improvement of the protection of rights and legal interests of doctors, consumers of medical services i.e. patients.
Dr. Ramin Parsa-Parsi, Head of Department (Germany) made his report on principles of professional autonomy in Germany during the meeting.
“Considering the necessity to overcome the deep crisis of the national health care system and implementation of comprehensive reforms we declare the necessity of the doctors’ autonomy. We call on the authorities responsible for health care to make the public cooperation space from the health care sphere by development and execution of the general state program of development of the national system’ the Resolution taken by the Participants of the All-Ukrainian Doctors’ Council during the 16th Meeting of the All-Ukrainian Doctors Association in Odesa on September 10, 2015, states.
A.P. M.M.Uhrin, President of Dentists Association of Ukraine, was elected a Chairman of Board.
