THE 2ND TOURNAMENT IN ALL-UKRAINIAN CONTEST OF STUDENTS’ SCIENTIFIC WORKS IN ENGLISH IN SPHERE “DENTISTRY”
The 2nd tournament in all-Ukrainian contest of students’ scientific works in English in the sphere “Dentistry” took place on 23, March, 2018 at conference hall of Dental Medical Center at O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University. The contest was held in the form of scientific practical conference for students. 11 reporters from 5 medical higher schools of Ukraine took part in scientific forum. The departmental contest commission at the head with pro-rector in scientific activity professor T.M. Cherenko selected the best creative works by future doctors-dentists and recommended them for performance at students’ conference.
The dean at dental faculty professor N.V. Bidenko in her introductory speech wished all participants with successes and expressed the assuredness that this forum will become the impulse for new scientific achievements. Professors A.V. Kopchak and A.V. Borysenko also welcomed the students.
7 students’ works in different sections of dentistry were presented at the conference of the 2nd tournament. 3 works were devoted to the problems of pediatric dentistry. In particular, the work by Bourji Ali and Arbid Mahmud from Lviv National Medical University was devoted to the defects of teeth and tooth alignment at children of pre-school age. The work by Stepanichenko Dina (Odessa National Medical University) presented the results from definition of efficiency in prevention of teeth injuries at patients with permanent orthodontic apparatuses. The work by Mytkalyk Hanna and Oleksiuk Mariia (National Medical University) was devoted to the morphology of velopharyngeal complex. Two reports were devoted to the problems of surgical dentistry. Polishchuk Vitalii and Rudenko Olha (Vinnytsia National Medical University) presented the results from experimental research on efficiency in anti-inflammatory complex. The work by Sablin Mykola (Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy) presented the efficiency in complex treatment of phlegmon. The certain problems of orthopedic dentistry were described in report by Ivanov Rostyslav (Vinnytsia National Medical University) and report by Bilovol Alina and Pluhatyr Oleksandra. All presented works were interesting and, mostly important, have the perspectives for continuation. The especially active discussions lasted during description of issues about diagnostics and treatment of inflammatory diseases of facial area.
The jury awarded the first place to the report by students Mytkalyk Hanna and Oleksiuk Mariia (National Medical University). The diploma for the 3rd place was awarded to the report by Polishchuk Vitalii and Rudenko Olha (Vinnytsia National Medical University). All students received the certificates of participants in final conference.
