These changes are stipulated by attitude of youth to receipt of information and practical experience. The youth skeptically perceives the thick textbooks and long lectures as has the habit, formed by internet, for clear, “waterless”, brief and meaningful material.
Thus, the teachers of NMU direct the students to independent search for information in the internet. The educational materials are made available online, so that the students had the choice of time for study, they are clearly structured, and contain the significant amount of schemes and tables.
The knowledge of foreign, first of all, English language is the condition for possession of the most modern achievements in world medicine. The teachers of NMU improve their English thanks to cooperation with British Council. And the wide system of English Speaking Clubs works for the students.
The study in medicine is directed to establishment of true diagnosis, appointment of optimal treatment and actions of prevention, oriented to practical aspects, using the trial and error methods, involvement of gaming elements.
NMU implements the modern didactic approaches, such as problematic study, study in team, applies the simulation classes at high quality mannequins, specially bought, on which the students of NMU for the first time in Ukraine passed through Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE).
Already in 2018 the publications of articles by young scientists in specialized medical journals, as well as their works at international conferences and congresses under aegis of world medical associations will be financed.
O.O. Bogomolets NMU received three stars of international rating system Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings (London, Great Britain), hereby having become the first and the only medical higher school in Ukraine, which received such high general assessment.
According to QS system teaching the disciplines, employment of graduates, scientific research work, internationalization, material technical base, inclusion, social responsibility is assessed.
