INTERNSHIP OF SPECIALIST OF THE DEPARTMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AT WROCLAW MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

According to the Memorandum of understanding between Bogomolets National Medical University and Wroclaw Medical University, employee of the Department for International Cooperation of NMU Ms. Mariia Kuznetsova held an internship at the International Relations Office of the University of Wrocław within the period from 1 till 31 July 2017.

The main purpose of the internship was to improve inter-university relations, establish new contacts, gain new experience in the field of international relations and writing grant projects. Due to this goal, Mariia Kuznetsova each day worked at the International Relations Office, carried out tasks along with other employees of the Office, including preparation and signing of contracts, business documents, search partners, grantees and projects. In addition, together with the administration of University, Mariia participated in negotiations with representatives of the Confucius Institute, held courses on writing project for the HORIZON 2020 and ERASMUS +, met with the Rector of Wroclaw Medical University.

During the meeting with the Rector of the Wroclaw Medical University a number of issues and proposals for cooperation with Bogomolets National Medical University in the field of academic mobility and scientific projects was discussed. The administration of Wroclaw Medical University with NMU supports proposition about programs of double diplomas for PhD and expresses its readiness to its implementation. In addition to training at the International Relations Office, Mariia Kuznetsova visited different departments of the University, including the research department, library, Deans’ offices, as well as the Museum of anatomy.

The internship provided an opportunity to expand the range of professional contacts, to analyze the features of Polish colleagues in the field of international relations, deepen knowledge and acquire new skills, understand how International Relations Office at the Wroclaw Medical University functions and exchange experience with Polish partners, take a note of the best practices for the development of the Department for International Cooperation at NMU.
