THE OPERATIONAL MEETING WITH THE FIRST YEAR STUDENTS TOOK PLACE
The operational meeting for the first year students in medical faculties No 1, 2, 3, 4, pharmaceutical, medical psychological, dental faculty and FTDAFU on 31, August, 2016 at O.O. Bohomolets National medical university. After general meeting the first year students met with the deans at faculties.
The pro-rector on scientific pedagogical work, assistant professor Olena Stechenko welcomed the students of O.O. Bohomolets NMU on behalf of university rector, professor Kateryna Amosova. The deans of faculties, curator of European credit transfer system (ECTS) of NMU, representatives from Students’ parliament and Trade union of students of NMU were present at the meeting.
The meeting became special for the first year students as having overcame with uneasy entrance runs, namely they won the right to be called the students in one of the most prestigious medical higher schools of Ukraine, which this year will celebrate the 175th anniversary of its history.
Addressing to the first year students the pro-rector on scientific pedagogical work, assistant professor Olena Stechenko did not only wish the good health and successes in study to the new students but arranged them for purposeful industrious work during a year and acquainted with the peculiarities for acquisition of higher medical education at NMU. The first year students learnt about the rules for assessment at university, kinds of control for knowledge, scale of assessment. The assistant professor also acquainted the students with innovations – since this year the students have the access to automatic control system “Electronic dean’s office”, where one can learn not only the timetable but with successes.
The deans of faculties, chairman in Students’ parliament and representatives of Trade union of students at NMU made the speeches to the new university replenishment.
During faculty meeting the first year students showed the high level of motivational readiness for study and mastery of the noble occupation of doctor.
