THE 1ST PLACE IN ALL-UKRAINIAN STUDENTS’ OLYMPIAD IN OPHTHALMOLOGY

The 1^st stage of all-Ukrainian Students’ Olympiad (AUSO) in academic discipline “Ophthalmology” was held on 21, February, 2018 at department of ophthalmology of NMU according to the order from MES of Ukraine, dd. 6, December, 2017 No 1572 “About Performance of All-Ukrainian Students’ Olympiad in 2017-2018 academic year” and order No 823 within O.O. Bogomolets NMU “About Performance of All-Ukrainian Students’ Olympiad in 2017-2018 academic year”.

The program for the 1^st stage in AUSO included the performance of test control, crossword, assessment of objective status for ophthalmologic patient due to the data from biomicroscopy and ophthalmoscopy (photo of clinical case). The participants in Olympiad were welcomed by head at department of ophthalmology professor Vitovska O.P. She wished the successes to students and emphasized the importance in constant self-improvement. 6 students of medical faculty No 1 and 2 took part in the Olympiad. The composition of jury included the head at department professor Vitovska O.P. – chairman in jury, assistant professor Skrypchenko I.D. – deputy chairman in jury, professor Skrypnyk R.L., assistant professors Kurylina O.I., Baran T.V.

The winners in the 1^st stage of AUSO were the student of medical faculty No 2, group 22, course 4 Nataliia Peleshok (1^st place), student of medical faculty No 1, group 21, course 5 Vitalina Porokhniak (2^nd place) and student of medical faculty No 2, group 1, course 5 Nataliia Honska (3^rd place). The winners in the 1^st stage of AUSO in academic discipline “Ophthalmology” will represent O.O. Bogomolets NMU at the second final stage in AUSO on 10-12, May, 2018, which will be held at department of ophthalmology in Odessa National Medical University.

Department of Ophthalmology
