MEETING BY SSC “HAZARD IN USE OF ALCOHOL”

The meeting of students’ scientific club on topic “Hazard in use of alcohol: scales and events of contraction” was held on 27, April, 2016 at department of health care organization and social medicine at O.O. Bohomolets National medical university.

The following persons took part in the meeting: members in students’ scientific club, representatives from O.A. Kysil SSS, employees at department of health care organization and social medicine, as well as the member in intersectoral working group for accompaniment of joint project by WHO Bureau in Ukraine and Swiss agency of development and cooperation “Non-infectious diseases: prevention and promotion of health in Ukraine”, head at department of health care organization and social medicine, professor Tetiana Gruzeva, chief doctor in Kyiv city center of health, Candidate of Medicine Otto Stoyka, assistant professor at department of dermatology and venereology at O.O. Bohomolets NMU, Master’s Degree Student at department of public health care at NASU at President of Ukraine, Candidate of Medicine, assistant professor Korolenko V.V., deputy head at secretariat of public organization “Movement “Sober Ukraine” Serhii Kravchenko.

The report about situation with the use of alcohol in Ukraine, tendencies in use of alcohol drinks among different layers of society, medical social and economical problems, related to the risk for development of diseases, approaches to contraction was presented by the student of the 5^th course in medical faculty No 2 Uliana Marshalok. The report caused to lively discussion among students.

The speeches by participants in the meeting, students and senior colleagues, allowed forming the critical attitude to situation and defining the list of events, which shall be taken at different levels in management of specialists with different specialties, members in public organizations for reduction in spread of harmful use of alcohol and prevention from problems, related to it.

They took the decision to continue the dialog on abovementioned topic at the next meeting of students’ scientific club and about cooperation of representatives from students, practical health care and public organizations in anti-alcohol activity.
